Given that there are multiple cards offering 4mpd or 8 to 10% cashback for Grab services, this 'nerf' isn't going to make me switch over to using GrabPay for my rides & food. But good try anyway, Grab...

I will switch to Foodpanda, unless Grab offers much better vouchers. Nowadays I tend to compare the two when ordering since they have offer for their food subscription.

From 1 August 2022, Debit/Credit card transactions on the Grab app will no longer earn GrabRewards points.

If you switch to paying with your GrabPay Wallet balance via GrabPay or PayLater, you can continue earning up to 2% back in GrabRewards points. You’ll be able to use this balance on the app, online and even at stores. Plus, there are no limits to how many points you can earn.
What does this mean? I’m currently using the physical grabpay card for bus/mrt. So no more points awarded?

You will still get points when you use the physical GPMC to tap on bus/mrt.

The change means that if you order Grabfood and pay using your DBS Credit/Debit Card, no points will be given. If you pay for the Grabfood using your GrabWallet, will have points (no change here).

give grab a bit of loan to keep them afloat.. see them so ke lian
lol so nice.

btw in case you not aware ah.

though it is likely that before they devalue they will give advance notice.

but if you look at the existing Star$ redemption, it is capped at 20 rewards per customer.

so if your intention is if there is indeed a devaluation and u LLST go quickly expense it off. u will only be able to redeem 20x.

so 2,500x20=50,000.

so u might might end up with 150k points being "devalued" unless u choose to redeem something else
