Grab page put as "if you are debit or credit card user"
even if I read this, GPMC is a debit card also right ?
so grab is the one confusing people..
so as long as I am using grabpay as payment mode for the GPMC, then I am still earning point right ?
Yep.it's quite clear to me when they made the announcement, and i think only some are confuse not all. the confused are making others confused.
- GrabPay has a Debit card function which is a Mastercard deducting balance from Grab Wallet which can be topped up using PayNow, Debit or credit card. This will continue to earn points as they definitely want to encourage the use of their own GrabPay Debit MasterCard within their ecosystem.
- Inside Grab App, there is a ability to pay for Grab ecosystem stuffs like Grabcar, GrabFood etc via the option of Credit Card directly. This is the one that will no longer award points from 1 August. The aim is to discourage people to use the credit card directly to pay and push customers to drive up use of the GrabPay Wallet and Grab Debit Card.
this 2 are totally different things.

Sound like a good way to restrict spending for maid/helperMuch better than vouchers.
Can go to any cashier counter and ask for gift card. It is free. Then tell cashier how much to topup and pay with your credit card.
To use the gift card, just give to cashier to scan. Can also be used at self checkout machine. The receipt will show the balance and expiry date. Everytime you topup, the expiry date get pushed further.
