You aren't withdrawing cash, you're paying an organisation. No advance fees will be charged by the bank.Hi all, quick question.
If I top up via Bank Credit Card, will i get charged for any Bank Charges Fees or Cash Advance Fees? Apart from the usual American Express True Cash back card, I'm talking about the regular DBS, OCBC, UOB and Citibank kind of credit card. Does the Visa Fee still apply today?
Also, for Cash back credit cards, For Standard Chartered Unlimited Cash back and Citibank Cash Back Plus card, do you get the cashback, like American Express True Cash Back Card?

Of course not. Otherwise why would everyone be so specific about recommending the True Cashback card for top ups?
What’s the qns? Thanks! As for the second question, I'm just wondering as if the Amex True Cashback card credit limit is too low and if you combine two credit cards to do top ups for big purchase. (i.e. Amex True Cash back only have $3000 credit limit but you wanna purchase something that is $4000, so use a second cash back credit card to top up the remaining $1000).
Looks like the UOB Absolute Amex and Amex True Cash back is the way to go for GrabPay top ups.
You could top up $3000 last month, and top up $1000 this month. Just takes a bit of planning in advance. Alternatively I believe you can just overpay Amex by $1000 that month and then combine that with your $3000 limit. They should allow you to charge $4000 like that. Thanks! These are the two questions. First one is about Bank Credit Card Charges, which I worry will get Cash Advance Charges and interests. If I top up via Bank Credit Card, will i get charged for any Bank Charges Fees or Cash Advance Fees? Yep aware you asking 2 qns. These are the two questions. First one is about Bank Credit Card Charges, which I worry will get Cash Advance Charges and interests.
Second question is about card cash back rewards from Non Amex cards (i.e. DBS Live Fresh, Standard Chartered Unlimited Cash Back, Citi Cash Back Plus, HSBC Advance Credit card)
No choice, your credit limit apparently too low for your large purchase. Plus Grab has a daily top up limit and wallet limit anyway, you can't spend or top up more than $5k a day.I don't want to risk topping up so much as Credit Card Funds are non reversible unlike via Bank Account PayNow VPA. Top ups via Credit Card for large amounts for me is usually done at the point of payment at the counter area, likewise also the same for over paying the credit limit for any credit cards very troublesome to take back out the cash in your credit limit.
Yep aware you asking 2 qns.
but you didn’t have any question marks. So you seem to be making statements.
so what exactly do you want to know?
1) no fees1) If I top up via regular DBS, OCBC, UOB and Citibank Bank Credit Card, will i get charged for any Bank Charges Fees or Cash Advance Fees?
2) For Cash back based credit cards, cards like Standard Chartered Unlimited Cash back, Citibank Cash Back Plus card and HSBC Advance Credit Card, do you get the cash back benefits, just like American Express True Cash Back Card / UOB Absolute Amex?
1) no fees
2) only uob absolute amex give 1.7% and Amex True Cash Back 1.5%. Other cashback cards exclude grab topup.
Credit card topups can be reversed by contacting Grab. They'll refund it back to the original card.I don't want to risk topping up so much as Credit Card Funds are non reversible unlike via Bank Account PayNow VPA. U** Absolute very stingy on card sign up promo...
not gg to trust the 1st XXX signups campaign reward AT ALL
the last time they chut a campaign like this and when i hit the requirment within 2 days, they refused to credit me the reward , citing i was too late and they have fullfilled their quota for member spending... smells like BS to me
Also they did not credit bank interest for another campaign for deposits, several ppl who had noted on their calendars like me had to chase the bank to credit the interest when it did not appear even a few days after maturity date , this says a lot about the bank
very bad impression with them since then![]()
