Have you added your card to EZ-Link app? I recently lost a card and recovered full amount.
yes, I had added, I called and cancelled the card also, immediately, but they told me it takes 24hrs to block the card and within that period, if someone uses it, they cannot recover and in my case, someone used it fully, including triggered a new auto top up within that 24hrs and used up that as well.

In that case, no way for EZ-Link to block it. EZ-LINK is stored value card. The value in the card if used is unrecoverable.

This is why ez link knows it's value proposition is lost of recent years, hence now they focus on giving ez link wallet rebates of $0.50 per top up for the past 6 months till May then now stopped to prolly review it's next moves.

Pretty sure they will return will continue promos in the similar fashion, took a survey recently and they asked if how likely will I top up my ez link if there are such promos.

It has been so many years that EzLink claimed it needs 24hrs (if not 48h) to block the card. Really worldclassed. lol

EZ-Link card is a stored value cards. The money is inside the card and deducted mostly offline. EZ-Link has no way to stop the card from being used offline.

the 24 or 48 hours are probably the terminals required to sync with EZ-LINK. But probably no guarantee.

how long does it takes grabpay to refund me as I cancelled a purchase from Shopee? I contacted Shopee, the voucher and coins I used for purchased were refunded right away, Shopee said I need to wait for 7 -14 days for refund, do I need to call Grab?

It should be around 3-5 days. Cos Shopee will initiate the transaction back to their merchant bank to your card issuing bank (which is Grab in this card) via the Visa/Mastercard getway. If you don't see the refund in around a week, you can contact Grab to raise a dispute to check.

Probably a way grab us enticing the newcomers to spend with a lower requirements and reward tier which makes a lot of sense

top up $800
use 15x
spend $750
get 15000 points
15000 = $30, divide by $750 = 4% rebate (exclude pts earned from spending $750)

Looks like they have more than one tier for different targetted groups. Hope the number of slots are not shared among the different tiers
