Awesome! Lucky my phone is non Samseng screen.
Also must see luck.

- Sometimes other oled provider also same issue thought majority are attributed to samsux panel
- The link i provided was recently released by Samsung Display so some of the older phones or maybe newer phones may not be accurate
- Manufacturer don't really release their panel manufacturer names so it is hard to find unless you find a youtuber or X (twitter) breakdown

I changed mine 2 months back. No more warranty but they changed it for free anyway. I went to the Novena service center. Took 3 hours maybe ... It was a crowded day.

Never go repair?

I had my first run in with green line this year and so discovered that my oppo actually used a samsux oled but luckily had 2 years warranty and they were quick to fix it no questions asked.

Mine was export set with 6 months shop warranty bought from Shopee. So no point repairing it.

Bought a cheap LCD screen phone as replacement. The other hps with amoled screen from Samsung so far no prob. *Finger crossed*

So OP12 has a chance of getting green line??
Yes. While OP12 uses BOE panels, there is also a chance of getting green line.
This is due to inherent issue in making smaller phones, there will be trade offs .. heat , bumps may cause it to appear

If you want to avoid green line, then have to look for budget phones with LCD screen since oled / amoled is now the trend even for mid tier budget phones

Edit- there is already a reported earlier this year though it was attributed to software glitch

Is it using Samsuck oled?
Not nesscarily samsuck only.

I know but using samsuck one would have higher chance of getting the issue mah..

So does software update on phones that use Samsuck oled cause the issue also?
Alot of speculation but you get the usual stuff if you searched online
- Heat
- Electrical
- Faulty connection

As for mine, went to sleep with 80+%, woke up to 70+% battey (10% drain seems normal for my find x5 pro) and a cute green line across the screen top down.

No updates happened.
No active apps running (yes, i kill apps manually and let's not get into the background apps, that i do not care)
BatteryGuru was running, so temp was being monitored and no abnormal heat spikes or huge usage of the battery.

And after getting it replaced, Oppo had to replace the entire screen and leave the motherboard alone.

I belived it is more of a production defect that cannot be identified during your standard QA since it cannot be replicated but who knows, maybe samsung knows...

Yes if is local set, My X3Pro also kena last year, 1 month before warranty expire.

Just take note after screen replace, make sure you finger print sensor is working else will like me had to go back second time to let the technician enable back the sensor.
