- Equally or more powerful with less cores AND using less power
- Launch price lower than previous gen
- Free video recording software
- Full covered backplate

Will be interesting to see flagship non-reference cards push these Maxwell chips further

Speaking of looking good, here's a 5760x3601 image of the GTX 980 from Nvidia

So... You started a thread to tell us what we already knew?
And what like 4-5 others threads are discussing?

Shouldn't it be GTX970 instead?

Its cheaper than 290X (in SLS), performs on par and runs cooler.

Anyway don't wanna waste my effort on typing in mobile mode then realise thread being closed so just paste it here. :s13:

Not intent to dig up the argument again but yeah.

Check out these 2 posts to see how arrogant nfukdia pple are.

GTX980 is not up to MY expectations because its only slightly faster than 780ti and 290x (I was expecting something like 50% gain) since its supposed to be next generation. I never say it sucks or its crap then suddenly someone come and post and say I am blind fanboy and I am trolling.....

Then which generation of AMD/ATI cards did encounter a 50% boost from its own previous gen? FYI we are seeing even less than 10% efficiency upgrade with GCN 1.0 on the new 28nm from VLIW4 on 40nm node.

Using "expectation" of 30-50% boost as an excuse to play down and sour a brilliant chip doesn't make you look professional at all.

GTX980 too expensive for me... :(

$900-$1k for the card.... I think I prefer GTX970.

As linus said, Always aim for the 2nd highest card, which is 970 for now.

Seems like 970 is better for its price-performance as compared to 980.

Might be possible for a 970 mini edition like the 760 in the future
