Its not actually that bad. I was just raging at why i couldn't get the freedom into some of its trademark poses. The beam saber hand was pathetic, it couldn't even stay upright.

Sigh, i screwed up the enact paint job real bad. Paint is peeling off when i assemble it and some parts are only half painted. Note: NEVER, EVER PAINT PEGS/ JOINING AREA. Paint got clogged up inside some holes are it was a utter pain to remove it. Assembling the enact is so demoralizing that im seriously wondering whether i should paint my rapheal...

Hopefully im brave enough to post pics of the enact. It was a total failure. Sigh.

Older HG kits is not so good la.. Mg n RG definitely can one.. U can hold my words.. My words not heavy one,. Can hold very long.. Everyone nv do a perfect job at the first try.. We all improve at the time goes by..

Did you prime your kit first before you paint?

Apply " primer "

Anyway, these days damn lazy to order decals and finish up my kits, so end up just fix and fix. I like going back to the 18m-club Gundams for its simplicity.

Nope, I didn't prime. Wanted to, but didn't. Dad told me not. He said something along the lines to priming are for the professionals and me just starting out, no need to prime. How to prime? My idea of priming was just giving the parts a layer of white paint.

@Tanyieern: Yes, can find hobby thinner like Mr.Color thinner, in different volumes. And the Nu HWS actually comes with only 1 full set of Funnels, the other set I took from an MC Model kit, and the quality difference is very noticeable. While Bandai's funnels were holding themselves straight and tight, the MC Model ones were loose.

@Simwb90: Haha, I meant shorter Gundams, usually around 18 metres, since they don't have extravagant equipment and backpacks. And yes, that's a HG Nu HWS. I admit that at first it seems like a nice kit but like the Ex-S, there's actually no good-looking pose I can leave it in.

And with regards to the articulation discussion going on, I personally think the best in terms of HG comes from the 00 and AGE series. I think it's due to their ankles, inner knee and short front skirts. Then comes the HGUC/HGAW line, depending on the unit [Obviously a HG The-O is going to do worse than a HG G Gundam].

The worse, I think comes from the Wing and SEED series. The former requires you to change torso if you want to do some pose for example while the latter has stumpy proportions and unless you use the hobby magazine supplement for the shoulder joints, also can't do much.

RG has some sweet moves but somehow my heartbeat rate increases if I try to do too much with them. Scared either parts drop or snap.

hahahas i was thinking along the lines of being 18m but i jus didn't really think it would be that literal =p....hmms so 18m is actually short in the Gundam world huhs....

nice that u point out the poses >.> I was half tempted to search for the Nu DFF HWS...-.-!!...i think i shall save my money for the upcoming HG Astray~

ok..
Finished my som pieries(tieren taozi) styled GN-X. shade of pink wasn't what i expected but good enough.

i forgot how paints will make it harder to assemble the kit due to the added thickness. anyway, i have to do some repainting of some areas due to damage frm assembly and some areas i didnt cover..

where can I get dioramas of factories? i want to do dioramas of the gundam being assembled..

do you mean mechanical chain base
Kotobukiya Mechanical Chain Base 009 - Base&Stand : Hobby Kulture
currently there are 9 diff series of the mechanical chain bases produced by kotobukiya (gd for 1/144 kits), think mws, hobby kulture etc shld be selling, else you can try online shops like amiami or hlj http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?...t=1&KeyWord=mechanical+chain+base&c=c&x=0&y=0

else you can try to scratchbuild from plaplates? there is one wip done by a fellow modeller on sb of a hanger deck which you can refer to here

hope it helps
