i got a bottle of thinner which i thought will help me do faster colour changes for the airbrush but it turns out, it means i have to more coats of paint.

the thinner drips over my gloves, which has dried paint on it and the thinner dissolves it again and stains parts that i am putting on my alligator clips.

Note that i screwed up the panel lining. I used permanent marker, now cannot erase.

In model kit there is nothing call cannot de just prime it and repaint it you can repanel line your kit

Just my 2 cents

I haven't seen a resin kit before. All i know is u have to paint them urself, and they are extremely expensive.

Resin actually is not very ex you can always get a simple conversion resin kit to try out first.
Or get a resin kit gundam head its quite good for starters.

Nubs not properly cut and sanded, Decals are poorly placed, Seam lines are very obvious, Glue stains from the shield, which i suspect is from decals being removed, etc. Essentially, exactly what i did when i first started. Loose parts too.

BLEH, just realized how bad articulation is in HG.

I don't see how bad the kit is actually.. Remove stickers.. Cut the parts.. Sand down.. Wash with soap water.. Dry..

Nth different from buying a brand new kit n build lei.. I would not mind if this is only a $10 kit wor..

N the seller is not me :D

nothing wrong with using permanent markers. u just need to clean off the mistakes the moment u make them, before the ink dries.

alternatively, u can do panel wash instead of using permanent markers.

Dont touch the parts with your hands, or gloves, only touch the sticks or clips, if you prefer you can take off your gloves to change your paints, then wear back to spray again..... what do you mean by more coats???? your 2 part paint to 1 part thinner i personally think is too thick

Enamel paint diluted with enamel thinner..
Alternatively.. U can use tamiya de panel washer.. Bottle one prepared n diluted already.. Lol..

peekture....:D

Just finished spraying the gn-x(also called jinx in the anime)

this MG kit really jinx-ed
nearly lost another key part (half of the head's structure) when i placed the parts to be sprayed a certain colour in a plastic bag. didnt realised i left 1 piece there until i wanted to dump the bag away then realised something is inside...

tmd..

well, the gloves left some paint mixture frm spraying black, white, pink etc before that. i used tamiya thinner to wipe it out but it was too strong. so i used tissue to wipe off the thinner and let it dry. later i resprayed that area to give it slightly more white, then sprayed the entire part white to mask/minimise the difference.

fortunately, the paint transfer was minimal

Tanyieern, you can use hobby thinner to remove the permanent marker if you wanna save the kit ;) But don't use industrial thinner or try to thin it down yourself. It melted and rubber-ed my HGUC EX-S' beam smart gun lol, damn heart pain.

Anyway, these days damn lazy to order decals and finish up my kits, so end up just fix and fix. I like going back to the 18m-club Gundams for its simplicity.

I was expecting something decent. Guess i set my expectations too high...
My HG enact that i was painting cost me $12, i guess that somewhat justify my reasoning.

I only realized it when i tried to pose the freedom. Trying to get it into poses from the anime is a bitch. The way that u said it seems like MG and RG are significantly better. I shall hold your word to that.

Yea, i meant stickers. Couldn't find a word at that time, so i used decals. My bad.

Can I find hobby thinner at HAW/HAG or M-workshop? Thanks for your help:D

Nice. All HG right? Nu FWS looks badass, especially with all the funnels equipped. Idk y Nu box art only has half of the funnels:s11:

btw, if u want to disable timeline and you are using chrome, use this extension:New Profile Disabler

Its awesome. Hopefully it works for you:D

Its not actually that bad. I was just raging at why i couldn't get the freedom into some of its trademark poses. The beam saber hand was pathetic, it couldn't even stay upright.

Sigh, i screwed up the enact paint job real bad. Paint is peeling off when i assemble it and some parts are only half painted. Note: NEVER, EVER PAINT PEGS/ JOINING AREA. Paint got clogged up inside some holes are it was a utter pain to remove it. Assembling the enact is so demoralizing that im seriously wondering whether i should paint my rapheal...

Hopefully im brave enough to post pics of the enact. It was a total failure. Sigh.
