Nope, I didn't prime. Wanted to, but didn't. Dad told me not. He said something along the lines to priming are for the professionals and me just starting out, no need to prime. How to prime? My idea of priming was just giving the parts a layer of white paint.

Priming is to make ur paint stick to the kits, just a layer of white or grey color primer, depending on the outcome you want, will do.

If not ur paint easy to come out, also after panel lines and decals, apply a layer of top coat to further protect the paint

Any body can do priming, and to me its a must, unless you handpaint with acrylic paints

Whats OEM?

anyway I'm using EAD K081. and in the parts reference list it says the model is hs-80.

I found the exact thing on Ebay:s13::s13: It even has the exact parts list printed there:s13:

Airbrush Parts HS-80 Complete O Ring Kit Ref (HS 80 Kit | eBay

looks like can get all the O rings and parts replacements for keithAB from this seller.:s13:

I'll call HAG and ask them if they have spare o rings. If not bo bian have to wait for the O rings to arrive since shipping should take quite long.

sometimes i wonder why bandai wanted customers to paint gundams..

the tolerances are so tight that painting it would result in scratches or paint scraping off during assembly/posing...

tolerance is tight for those snapfitters, if you wanna paint must sand down to cater for the paints.......... make sure to try-fit and plan ahead. Like sanding articulations, lighten paints to cater for the dark washes etc. etc.
