what sliver is trying to say is for you to practice on ur basics such as removal of nubs / sanding etc. shading/weathering is an advanced technique. no point concentrating on weathering if your basics are not there. my sgd 0.02

Nono, im just looking for additional knowledge. Not intending to do anything related to shading in the near future. Thanks anyway.

Tamiya weathering poweders are so expensive, buy 1kg of pigments from airfriend is like only $20++

1 Tamiya weathering powder is about $12+? And they have so many sets of color to boot. I remb reading somewhere that 2 sets (forgot which sets) are all that's is needed for gunpla.

it is not called crayons for sure. if i am not wrong, it should be artist chalk.......need not use a sandpaper to grind it down. you can alternatively use a pen knife or blade of some sort to scrape it off.. then apply it accordingly to the model with a paint brush.

but normally is 70:30?

primer 50:50?

for handpaint is around 1:1 paint to water, consistency is like calligraphy ink like that
for airbrush i use X-20 A thinner 1:2 paint to thinner, or 10% magiclean/water solution 1:1.5 paint to solution.
