Sure thanks. Maybe i try get the marker first. So far the body, head and 2 arms are done.

still deciding whether get a gold spray paint to spray first or not

I too just bought a patlabor last week at og,and a mg strike freedom last nite. Any advice for a reasonable price cutter and a fine marker to colour thè lines of the model? Saw a cutter selling at 21.90 at marker 5.90 if i remember. Esp the cutter, not sure if its worth the invesment.

Cutter must get those with flat cutting side. Go those hobby shop, they will tell u which type.
Marker can get those 0.01 type from art shop ie artfriend or even popular. Take note don't press too hard or the tip will get squashed and get bigger.

Cutter is worth lah, can use for very long.

no such thing as irreversible mistakes in this hobby. if color wrong just use abit of denatured alcohol to strip the paint off, nth major.

The one u bought at OG is the latest real action drama series.

Btw, if u want to try, can look for Tamiya panel accent. Can see this website for explanation (not my website).

Those 20% discount is about the same price as those hobby shops or slightly higher; $5~$10 (not including HAG... Today close...attending the event?)

May just hoot them at taka...

I read that some brand's yellow has a bit of red in them or their blue have a bit of green undertone.
So if mix with them, the colour might not be what it is expected. e.g. Turned brownish or dirty.

So as in pure full red like those painter use.

hmm not sure about the paints. but gaia primary colors like red yellow blue mostly have white undertone(?) . mixed them before and so far no problem. problem is only mixing the ratios to get the color tone i want.

gaia colors also have another type of paint. something like "pure" color that is unmixed?. the paint is also slightly expensive from the normal ones. this might have to consult the more pro painters.

Hey guys, I saw the aile strike and skygrasper RG kits at the Taka fair. Are they meant to be compatible with each other? Will it be cheaper if I buy it from other places? They are both $52 before the 20% discount.

just buy from taobao. unless u are getting the limited edition kits from the event, dun even think about spending a single cent there cause it just ain't worth it.

the only MGs that have reasonable pricing there are the wing zero custom, freedom along with the age MGs.

i look at the Hyaku Shiki launch price and i went . heng i got mine in HK

Thanks for all the friendly advice. This thread seems more pple willing to share info and advice. Esp to new collectors like me. I just bought a black stand wif 30% off at metro gss. Intenď to mount my strike freedom on it. Cos the original stand looks too straight.

Anyone took photo of RG destiny at the show ? I saw the colouring done very nice, forgot take photo. Now no colour reference.
