Quick question....

For prime airbrush...do you guys do it even if the base plastic color is white?

yes. priming is not just for changing colour. it is also to allow paint to stick better, and to check for sink marks and errors such as seamlines that are not cleared properly
use white primer for white/light colour parts.

dun have to be exactly the same lah.
just find something close enuf can already.

Thanks but if I want to do metallic paint, still stick with white prime or use gloss black?

proper way will be to prime then gloss black paint then metallic paint.

black primer + Gunship Grey : darker grey
grey primer + Gunship Grey :lighter grey

yes. so the choice of primer depends on what tone do u wan to achieve

MG Freedom, my first kit assembled 10 years ago using nail clippers and nail file.

The marks is terribly ugly even with touching up so ended up using this for a full overhaul.

dun think so.
but I have not tried doing it on a black base to see the difference.

for gunmetal grey/black, there shouldnt be any difference because both colors are rather dark already

you can, just make sure that u spray gloss coat to protect the underlying paint
