yea. i don't know if its the best way to do it, but i did it the usual way of by applying the tamiya thin cement, pressing the parts together and slowly sanding it off.

lol. my kamen rider has 20x more ribbed areas than that. i did the same thing too. i can understand how pita it is. over sanding will risk the ribbed areas got levelled. very pek chek one.

hem... no leh.. I personally dun think the wing is that fragile.
I did break few pegs though. This kit is all snap fit one... (older PG use screws..) so once assembled, very difficult to disassemble. I made some mistake during assembly, and need to disassemble, so...pry here...pry there...some peg snap . luckily it was like one of 4 pegs or something, so even brake one still no issue.

my advice would be slowly slowly do... make sure everything is correct before snapping all into place. then you will not have any issue.

ya pg sf need to give it some bling bling gold paint...find their yellow for the gold parts to be lacking..

suggest u use panel wash...instead of markers
in fact for your trans am kits use red panel wash...that's what I intend to do for mine, just a suggestion

bro, gaia moderate thinner has retarder in it. so besides being less smelly, it also offers some properties of longer drying time and slightly more glossy finish. so it is almost the same as mr hobby levelling thinning.

as for the sm series paint, only sm06 ( chrome silver) cant be diluted with normal or metallic thinner. the rest ( sm01-sm05) works fine, if not better, with gaia metallic thinner. from the link i have given, the blogger was only having problems with sm06 with gaia metallic thinner. i tried it first hand as well. the paint just clump together, just like the pic he posted. so, use mr color levelling thinner for sm06 (recommended by the instructions on the bottle/box).

btw, sm08 ( plate silver next), i think costs $16 at hobby point

Yo bro, you are right! I refer to gaianotes site and indeed gaia moderate thinner has retarder in it, so I should be using mr hobby leveling thinner. Last time when using it was a nightmare, before the first layer dried, I sprayed the second layer and first layer became messed up.

Hmm I guess this type of blink blink paint is around this type of prices ba, the M-304 chrome silver I mentioned earlier is also around $14+.

if you're using it on a painted kit remember to use a paint of a different type
and take note when u use enamel paint on unpainted kits, enamel is harsh to plastic(heard some ppl saying that it affected their kits)

haven't started panelining my hg trans am kit...but I'll probably use acrylic red

pls, for panel line washing, use enamel! yes enamel thinner does make plastic fragile. but pls everyone uses enamel. the pros who won the gbwc and pros all ard the world uses enamel.

if u r to panel line unpainted kit, u can always gloss/semi gloss ur kit b4 panel line with enamel.
taught by Sam at haw, make sure the wash doesn't come in contact with unpainted parts, when there is stress point.
so, panel line b4 u fit the parts. den let it dry/cure few days b4 fitting it.

y not acrylic? becos u if u use acrylic, good luck trying to clean the excess cleanly.

Is it possible to convert a MG zeta 2.0 to MG Zeta Gundam Type 3 White Unicorn ?

Coz its only the decals + color scheme that is different but decals can order from Samuel Decals, rite?

Last time overheard 1 of the owners @ HAG (Not Joyce or Sam, its another person) mentioned that cannot get the decal elsewhere so ppl who didn't buy Zeta unicorn regretted.

Is that true? I try googling & cant find an answer

ongkh2000 has been ordering and using samuel decal much longer than most of us. he knows Samuel decal can custom anything u want.
just that the price is many times more than those with existing templates.
