currently thinking of getting a MG Unicorn.
Does anyone know if the HD version is better than the OVA one? It seems like the HD version has the cage and that's about $50 of price difference

You can get them at Yodobashi camera, which is like literally everywhere in Japan.

If you see boxes like this https://goo.gl/dVp7R9 , they are probably special editions. Normally you will only see this in smaller shops or 2nd hand dealers in Japan.


Basically the grades are:

HG : Cheap and good
RG : HG size with MG and some say PG details. Not too ex.
MG : Slightly harder to build, bigger size than HG & MG, more details
PG : Hardest to build, its perfect! Wohoo. Extreme details. Huge box.

Im tempted to get this and red astray.... Dirt cheap for pg.... How easy to build? As in the fit isit good? Need any adhesives? Heehe

Looking for ideas on how to achieve something.... Hope you guys coukd advise me

I intend to customise a normal gundam into something similar to red astray... With a sword mount at the waist of the gundam.

What would you suggest me to do inorder to achieve this?
I consider modify red astray sword mount onto the other gundam....or just use red astray as the base for the mod.

Any other idea?

Most gundam dont have the katana mount at the hip. If i wanna create a mount say on a strike's hip area for the red astray katana
And i doubt the mount for astray would just fit into the strike's hip right. So im thinking how to mix and merge parts from different series of gundam

I think it's kinda crap that Bandai is releasing more and more stuff as P-bandai... Bring on the milking...

quick question regarding panel-lining:
I always did this: used the lining marker to panel line, then top coat, then build
Now that I've got the tamiya panel line accent thingy, I was thinking of using that as it seems to be faster. Should I top coat it, then use the tamiya one and then top coat it again or use tamiya's panel line on the bare plastic then a layer top coat?

if it helps I use mr hobby's semi-gloss on on my kits

Anyone can reccomend good nippers? For intermediate modeller, godhand is too expensive for me upgrading from plato/xeuron
