HK is like tt de. i dun really like to shop in HK because of tt. for smaller shops i dun even want to go in.. just beo from outside unless i really got things to buy.

SGD weakening now. Have a feeling MAS will let it slide further so that can pull more visitors into singapore. Only against ringgit the sgd win 3:1 thereabouts.

actually SGD is strengthening. it has risen against many currency, including USD and euro. just that yen has strengthened at a faster rate.
but it even at 13, it is still cheaper to buy from japan than from hk

For the kits on sale, taka is basically selling at online price + shipping so its instant delivery in a way. For the hobby shops, those on sale usually are leftovers from preorders so the shipping cost already covered during the mass order.

Up next is $55 mass orders for RG Sinanju.

taka and other dept stores such as OG and BHG get their supply from local distributor, sheng tai. the price is fixed by sheng tai and they use a rate of about 0.021 x yen price. that is very highly marked up coz the exchange rate is only 0.013.
hobby shops obtain their stock from other sources, which is y they can sell it cheaper. as for online such as carousell, these could be online sellers who obtain their stock directly from japan or ppl who are clearing their backlog. so these are usually the cheapest.

Carousell so far is very popular source for kits if have free time to meet up or seller willing to send item by mail. Online is worth it if got a lot of items so that can spread the shipping cost. Quite a number of hobby shops now have a presence in Carousell. Alternative sources for competitive pricing are taobao and ebay.

But all the methods above cant beat having a friend in japan, hk, taiwan help to buy and then send as gift on a regular basis. Can only buy so much to bring back as luggage. ☺

Something i dont understand, I thought in Endless Waltz, it was the Tallgeese 3 that appears. not the ver. 1. Why Bandai classify it as EW?
Actually it will be cool if they bring back the HG 1/100 Tallgeese 3, as MG instead. I love the Round shield and the "Newer" Tallgeese 3's Gun.
