A forum is for the exchange of ideas lah. Not for "challenges".
BTW, what's the credentials of the judges anyway? Past winners? Shengtai officials?
One thing I do notice was certain countries have different tastes:
Japan - simple, subtle stylings in terms of painting and detailing
HK - "extra fit" everywhere
US - candy coat paintjobs? Shinyyyyyyy....
Singapore - judging by this year, big and chunky?
I remember that the Malaysia winner 1 or 2 years back was this poorly done EX-S that was a messy of 3-4-5 kits. So sometimes it all depends on the judge lah...
Anyway, lets get this straight: its a competition.
If u know what you're aiming for, then nothing wrong with going for BIG giant kits. After all, organisors want to sell kits, the more big and impressive, the better.
If u are just joining for exposure, by all means do so but anything else is a bonus. I'm perfectly happy with my unpainted + markered + coated kits.
