What do you do when during panel lining the nib of your gundam marker slips out of the groove & makes smudges? Tissue paper & erasers just spreads the smudge even more.

If tissue paper and eraser doesn't clean it well, then you can dab lighter fluid to remove the ink.

Easily available brands such as Zippo works well to remove ink smudges. Just use a cotton bud, dab a bit of lighter fluid and wipe away the ink.

PS: I recommend Zippo over other brands from personal experience.

Hehehe, I give advise to people but ownself now very lazy to properly clear seam lines and paint coat also jia lat (I hate painting white).

Current wip without decals and topcoat yet.

Has anyone bought kits from Taobao before?

I'm building my first kit (RG Justice) tomorrow, and I'm looking to get a RG Freedom to build when I have the time to "complete" the set.

I scared later the kits I buy come out is fake one. Any particular merchants to recommend?

i now always buy kits from taobao liao...
just look at their header... bandai official kits will put bandai in chinese...
fake names are they usually put donno wat GAO GAO/zu guo/da ban etc in chinese.

To add on, those bigger-sized spray cans (such as Krylon or Anchor brands), are usually not as good as Tamiya/Mr Color spray cans, because they're meant for purposes such as spray painting large surfaces or automotive parts.

If you use them for model kits, the higher spray flow rate means that you'll get thicker coats, rougher finish and tendency to pool or uneven coats.

Furthermore, it's harder to mask as the chances of paint seeping into corner edges are higher and if you're using metallic/pearl paints, the pigments are noticeably larger.

But I'm not discouraging the use of these spray cans, because you can still get good results if you're experienced with handling them and getting just the right balance of spray distance, coat coverage, coat thickness and drying conditions.

hobby grade spray cans dun come in cans bigger than those that u see @ hobbypoint. if u wan any bigger u got to get those from your general DIY stores

Hijack thread for just a bit. I lost my interest in modelling, hence this stuff will assist someone else in their modelling "career".
Some of the paint may have dried up, others are totally brand new. All in all, a lot of stuff for a little price. ($20)

Hi guys. I just bought a can of topcoat. Need some advice.

Is it safe to topcoat at night? I understand weather will affect the quality. Will probably leave it inside the house to dry. OK? Or too cold?

If can should I leave it in a ventilated area or in a room with the windows closed? Or air conditioned room even?
