Spray at a maximum distance of 15 cm away. It is a gloss coat, you will need to spray it close to obtain the bling.

20-30 cm is for the semi-gloss coat.

Mist coat and wet coat are different?
The Mr Hobby top coat is consider which type?

mist coat is when u spray slightly further away. the paint particles dries slightly before hitting the surface, thus creating a mist.

for wet coat, go nearer so the paint is still wet when it hits the surface.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. But how do you guys know what to collect? So far the only kits that I end up buying are those that happen to be on offer at the time when I am browsing. But sometimes the kit doesnt necessarily look interesting, and I am not sure if it is worth getting it just because the price is good.

for me i only buy when there is a sale or when i go japan. have too much backlog at home, so dun need to buy newly released kits.

Hey Everyone.
I'm quite new to this hobby. Not exactly "new" as the last time i've touched building gunpla was around 10yr ago. Just some HG that i would just buy and snap them together just for the sake of completing it.

But now i want to try and build 1 serious model. serious in the sense of doing it proper by, Sanding, Painting(not air brushing, too ex), Top coat kind of things. The model i choose is the MG Aile Strike rm. So my question is do you guys know any good site that can advice me or you yourself could. Like workflow, etc...

commission job is going to cost u a few hundred.
y not build it urself? u get much more fun and sense of achievement doing it urself.
if not just buy those HCM or robot damashi. no need to paint or assemble. and is much cheaper than getting a commission job

and if u really need help or guidance, there is a scale modelling club at bishan CC which is open every sunday afternoon from 3-6pm.

let's put it this way, if u get someone to help u, then when will u learn? its ok to make mistakes as there is always a solution/remedy.

Actually let me rephrase. Is it possible to rent or to borrow an airbrush to do the spray painting, cause last time when I was still into 40k I spent $$$ on many cans of spray paint .
