Is it safe to clean it yourself ?

I realize the blower quite dusty and dirty leh

Tot of spray water but not sure it will damage my aircon

I have been cleaning the blowers very often the past year, literally 6-8 weeks once for each FCU.

I find that the aircon cleaning foam (basically a surfactant to loosen the dirt etc) is optional if it's done regularly. Just use the Panasonic oral irrigator to blast the dirt.

90 PSI of water (very low volume of water though) is extremely powerful. For comparison's sake, your HDB is approx. 35 PSI.

Just blast at the aircon blower fan and also the metal fins. I use 2 pcs of rags and 2 big plastic containers (Wash clothes one) to contain the dirty water.

My fins and blower fan is as good as new, spick and span. Max efficiency. Use a flashlight to shine on them.

Won't spoil....

Won't choke if you do servicing regularly......esp with the surfactants. Nothing to choke on, it's regularly cleared, hence won't have instances of clumps of dirty dropping off.

Will have algae or bacteria growing on the insides of the pipe, that's about it. No chokes.

External compressor fins and fan, just use a pipe and spray water on it, if ngeow can use the Panasonic oral irrigator to blast with 90 PSI water (very low volume of water).

Won't spoil. The external compressor is rated for water exposure anyway at the aircon ledge and my place is super exposed due to high winds during storms coz high floor at Pinnacle Duxton.
