What’s the most effective way to clean the blower drum without removing it? Can I just use those aircon foam spray on it?

Steamer plus chemical foam which you can both buy online .
Actually that's what the Aircon cleaners do .

No need dismantle like old type Aircon clearing in 2024.

had my regular serviced of my A/C unit this afternoon.
Service guy quoted me chemical overhaul $150 per unit .
Is this market price ?

Foam cleaning 30-50 per unit . This is rip off price 150 lololol

Chemical cleaning usually pair with steaming better .mine cost only 60 per unit after discount which is still pretty expensive to me .

After that I see how they clean I now use my foam and steamer to diy clean every few months .so far so good .

I just started DIY cleaning my aircon with those cleaning spray foam applied to the radiator fins. Are there any differences in the efficacy between various brands of cleaning foam?

I bought this brand called Kinbata from Shoppee at about $5.40 per can. I found the amount of foam discharged is quite thin so I have to keep squeezing the applicator to cover the entire radiator.

Is Jackie a better brand? I didn’t buy it cos it was about $10 per can compared to $5.40 for Kinbata.

You bought a dedicated steamer to clean your aircon? How much did it cost?

Sorry ah. First time using vacuum cleaner. Inside got foam filter and blue color textile filter.

2 promoters said dun remove all the filters. 1 said the textile filter can wash, 1 said throw after 1 use.

So do I remove the filters? I google YouTube, the demo removed the textile filter.

I wish my mum good health and longevity✌️
Remove the textile filter. Just suck all the jelly to the bottom of the waste container. To improve the effectiveness, you can leave the vacuum running while you pour water into the split units.

I leave the foam filter in.

Hi my fcu seems to be producing some noise. Still bearable/quiet at speed 2 but become quite loud when increase fan speed to 3/4. Is it due to loose parts inside the fcu? Or anyone has any idea what would be the likely causes? Thanks!

maybe your blower fan motor, there are no other moving parts other than blower motor n flaps motor. The motor bearing maybe rusty or something.

Fan blower rubber mount worn most likely. Another issue could be the blower is heavily coated with dirt/dust and made it out of balance and causing vibrations during spinning akin to an out of balance car wheel.
clean the blower first and test run. If still noisy, then change rubber mount.

Have to go back to local distributor with your fan coil model to check for parts availability. Try dismount your blower and fully clean it first and mount back and test run if there’s no stock for rubber mount.
