Resistay apartments in Kyoto are affordable and big.
Some can even accommodate 7 or more people.

Looks like a good chain. Thanks. Their prices are >30-40k which is not within my budget but will consider during low peak season.

Hi, if we do clockwise route, where is a good point to cross over to gotemba outlet? Was thinking if can cramp it in a day

And what’s e latest to leave gotemba? I.e. need to catch any last train back to shinjuku?

Download this map that i had found online, it shows all transport routes.

There seems to be no direct transport from Gotemba to Shinjuku, u will need to head to hakone-yumoto or odawara then to Shinjuku. You can google for each transport timings, which i also did for certain transport lines.

Also, i wanna ask should i head anti-clockwise or clockwise, at which part can i consider going to Gotemba? Seems like the best is directly from Yumoto to Gotemba then take bus "M" to Gora station for anti-clockwise tour? Or even for clockwise, i should transfer to Gotemba from Gora station?

Also, i should be looking at Gotemba premium outlet instead of Gotemba station?

There’s free shuttle bus services from Gotemba station to the outlet mall.

Thanks for info, but i any case, the only way to Gotemba station is via tozan bus? Like that, i can also consider Tozan bus "M" directly to the premium outlets since the amt of stops look similar?

I went to the outlet mall via JR Gotemba Line with a Mt. Fuji-Shizuoka Area Pass, was traveling within Izu Peninsula for 10D. Not too sure about Tozan Bus.

How much discount are we looking at Gotemba outlet vs Singapore? Judging from the floor plan with various brands, nth much excites me. Only thing that did is the background with mt fuji, presuming a good weather is present.

I've not been to gotemba but i find the mitsui outlets but than the premium outlets. I usually buy sports apparels and i find nike has the cheapest deals.

I don't buy branded goods in Japan.
I go to second shop there to buy clothes.
The things are almost brand new and most of them are pristine condition and are really cheap! :D

Have anyone stayed at Ichinoyu Shinkan before? How was it?

Alternatively, can someone provide recommendations for Ryokan stay for 1 night with dinner/breakfast provided and open air bath? Budget about $500+/- which is what i found for this Ryokan - 40500yen.

Kyoto is not that expensive. Highly recommend Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto. It’s on the Orchard rd equivalent of Kyoto with Nishiki Market just across and Gion minutes walk away. Almost brand new 4 Star with onsen on 4th floor and complimentary supper every nite. Rooms smallish but very pleasing. Heaps of shopping and eateries at doorsteps

For me it's more of spreading hotel costs as Kyoto is damn expensive, especially with 2 kids so affordable options are limited. I might also visit USJ while in Kobe.

Thanks! Will keep that in mind. It's more on the peak season that I will be travelling so hotel rates are like 2-3 times higher than usual.

Just a quick check, are the Hakone Tozan bus 1 way directional or dual way directional?

For eg, Hakone-Yumoto to Kami tonasawa, can i take the same bus back to Hakone-Yumoto?
