Economical is go on coach around 10USD. depart every 1-2hour
Pick you up at certain hotels around Old quarter and drop off at Halong city bus terminal

service also not bad, i ask for beer but dnt knw which to take and the steward recommend his favourite

u gng there for cruise overnight or day trip?

if overnight cruise, the cruise company can offer transport.

if got choice, take the luxury coach. cars and those normal coach very cramp

yes, the price and quality of VN is really gd imho

Grab Around 100 to 150 SGD depending the demand.

But it's rare for grab driver from hanoi to drive you to HLB
Cuz they will return empty car and it's like almost 3 hour drive back to Hanoi.

Same logic as sg taxi unker... Few are willing to accept jobs to TUAS or LCK

Pte driver is usually around 100USD (1 way), around 150USD (2-WAY)
Price go up or down slightly depend you want 4 seater or 7 seater

Since you are going long distance... I will recommend you to go with Pte driver.

I usually fly Vnair to Hanoi, as the price is really no-brainer
Example
SIN-Hanoi
Scoot 220-250 (no check in, no meals)
Vnair 230-253

SQ usually no offer around 360

Unless SQ has the super saver deal, which so far, I only see it come by 1 -2 times a year.

For long haul like to Europe.... can consider taking Vnair Biz class, around 3K return trip.
SIN-Hanoi, wait 3-5 hrs, Hanoi to UK/France/Germany/Italy

2D1N for the cruise~ it did say they can provide "shuttle service to and from Tuan Chau Port and hotels within Hanoi is available at an extra charge" but didn't indicate how much~ did search online, the cost for transport is ard USD60 per pax, which i find too ex~ even travel from JB to KL also won't cost half as much~

wow usd60/pax is crazy. mine was only usd35/pax return trip, luxury cruise somemore, got wifi and the seat so big and comfy like having your own throne

now and 12 feb still far, sure not accurate

i was there during dec, 1 week before tht, my wife's cousins went, wear shorts and sleeveless and sweating like pig but when we arrived 1 week later, the cold started and we had to go jacket shopping 1st thing we touched down

But still will recommend a warm jacket stand by. Always with you.

Hanoi winter weather is freak.

It can be today 24. Tmr 10. Next day 22. Then following day drop to 8.

I Still remember in 2015 April when I touched down at Noi Bai airport... The captain say outside temp was 22

But when I looked at the LCD monitor Screen at the arrival hall, it said "14c"
I was like: "WHAT?! 14?! but earlier the captain just said 20...

Since then, I have learnt to check the weather forecast for that day in the morning news
