Hmmm... I think the Audio Technica M30x should work pretty well for monitoring

You can check out Sennheiser HD429/ HD439 and Audio Technica ATH-M30X/ ATH-M40X. One of the good choices within this price range.

If the headphone you buy in Amazon only comes with US warranty, afraid that's the only way.
You can always send it to local distributor, but they most probably charge you for the repair, or worst case, decline to repair at all

Previous pair of earphones was a Rockit R-50 which lasted me a good amount of time. This is going to be my first high-end pair of earphones. I prefer balanced armature earphones (for more accurate sounds).
