If that's the case, why not you go for around the ear type of headphones? It may be more comfortable with you, but of course, you can always try the demo first as we have different sizes of the ears and to check the clamping force as well.

Within the same price range as what you are having now, you can consider the Gaming headphones, Logitech G430 and the Razer Kraken Pro/ Carcharias. These headphones are meant for gaming and for long hours of usage. Feel free to drop by and audition the demo sets. ;)

Over the ear IEMs.. How about Audio Technica ATH-IM50/ IM70 or if you can extend the budget a bit, can also take a look at Westone UM Pro 10. Make sure you also have the right size of earbuds for better noise isolation or better yet use with Comply Foam Tips. ;)

Hi Stereo, interested in getting a pair of headphones for mixing music/DJ-ing in a studio. May also use it for actual DJ performance, not sure about this yet.

Additional note: Would like to use it out of studio with my phone too.

- Your rig: Mobile phone (LG G2) / Pioneer DJM 850K
- What type of usage: Music mostly / occasional gaming
- File format used: 320kBps mp3 / flac
- Genre: Electro/ Trance/ Progressive House
- Headphone / earphone type: Closed (Would require slight isolation during mixing in studio?)
- Other requirements: NIL
- Budget (in figures): Under $300

Besides the Audio Technica ATH-M50X that I saw you are already considering, you can also check out AKG K550, Sennheiser HD6 and Philips A5 Pro if you can extend the budget a bit.

Feel free to visit us to audition the demo units and check this month's promotion as well on certain models. ;)

Want to upgrade from my Koss Portapro to something better... looking at Audio Technica M50X or V-Moda XS.
Anymore you can recommend? Good if can fold small.

- Your rig: Fiio X1
- What type of usage: Music.
- File format used: 320kBps mp3 / flac
- Genre: Pop, hybrid(electric x classical instruments). Like drums, chimes and strings.
- Headphone / earphone type: isolation would be good buy not, on-ear or over ear is ok
- Other requirements: small form factor would be good.
- Budget (in figures): $300

how about sennheiser urbanite or momentum on ear? Urbanite might be not fit your criteria of "small form factor" but its worth a mention.

Or maybe PX100 ?

I belive stereo electronics has them! have fun demo-ing! :)

Vmoda XS is one of the good choices, bro. Very compact, lightweight and has carrying case. A bit bigger is the Sennheiser Urbanite but still has collapsible design, check out also Bose SoundTrue On-Ear. :)
