Is a mic compulsory since you are using for gaming too?

The Grado SR80i is a good recommendation if you are using at home only and do not need a mic. The fast and accurate bass on the SR80i makes it a great companion for rock/metal music. Of course, there must be good highs as well when you are talking about the genres above and the SR80i don't lose out on that.

Even when it comes to acoustics, the SR80i just brings it through naturally without sounding digital/artificial.

Was hoping for one more portable than M50 I like HD25ii but damn ex..

The complys didn't give enough bass for me, I will try the Shure. H

You should try out the UE4000, its small and yet gives good isolation. Detachable cable is a plus as well.

Definitely not a basshead's headphone but there is no roll off in the bass and mids stand out more as well.

I don't really like the IE80's bass. Best if you test it yourself first.

IE80 not bad at your price range =)

It has a quality finish and it feels light, forward sounding and pretty good soundstage. I personally feel that the IE80 sounds best with the middle tuning. Good separation and clarity without sibilance/boomy bass.

Westone 4 is more balanced sounding. Smooth and coherent sound and its very comfortable as well. =)

The IE80 will sound very very muddy next to your B2. I'd suggest UE900 or W4.

For 30-50, you should try the Creative EP660 or if you stretch a little to around 60 you can get the Creative EP660.

Reason why I recommend the 830 is due to the improvement over the EP660, it has good mid-tones that is precise and not boosted/unnatural. It can produce booming bass at low volume too but clarity maintains unaffected.

Mic if used on HTC must see if its compatible. =) Those compatible with Android devices and have volume are those with the analog volume control.

You should try out the UE400vm since you will be using it for your phone as well.

Good clarity and it has good bass rumble too, comes with a slim case for storage of the earphones. This allows the case to be easily slipped into your jeans. =)

The Dunu Trident is a good choice too, punchy bass and treble is well handled too, but might be a little scratchy for certain tracks.

Despite having a slight V shaped sound, the mids is still lush and textured. If there was a flaw, it would be the scratch treble but very good choice at its price!
