Hi there, you can consider the JVC FX3X, Fischer Audio Consonance and the Ultimate Ears 400. The Fischer Audio might have the strongest bass among these 3. Tried the UE400 before and the fitting is very good actually, small enough to fit in easily.

Hmm.. Apparently the HD518 leaks sound, don't really want to disturb my family members.. May end up gaming in the end, since it's mostly used at home.

Yes they both will leak sound to a certain extend. They were recommended as opened cans are more recommended to be used at home, also due to they are designed to be used at home. If you're looking for closed can, you can consider the Audio Technica ATH-M50 and the Shure SRH440. Both sound quite balanced overall when I tried them, should be able to fulfil most needs even for gaming. Particularly the M50, it is one of the most popular and well-received headphones for a long time.

The W20 will actually have a different sound signature from the UM2 & UM Pro 20. You can consider the JVC FX-Z200 also.

Hi, looking for a headphone.... understand that HD600 kinda headphones are more suitable for home usage and though i like bigger soundstage, would think a closed headphone is better as i would like to bring the headphone out at times as well as using it at home.

Hope to find a headphone that could be driven well by DX50 unamped. Currently using W4r.

also thinking whether HD600 can be used outside.... i.e. trains ? cafe?

The HD600 can be used outside, however it would not be recommended as sound from outside will leak in.

The ESW9 is one of the highest rate portable headphone. Do consider that. You can give the Sennheiser Momentum a try as well.

Hi there, personally used a SE425 before and will personally recommend the SE846 as I find that the sound signature is very similar. The SE846 gives a fuller mids as compare the the SE425 and the soundstage is significantly wider. A number of my colleagues had agreed that since I was a SE425 user it is reasonable for me to like the SE846 than the AKG K3003 due to the similarity in sound signature. We have the audition unit at both outlets, do feel free to drop by and give them a try. We also have the audition unit for the UM Merlin and UM Miracle so you can actually make a comparison should you be interested in CIEMs.

Some people actually find the X10 has a more coloured sound as compared to the 4R. In fact most people had felt that the 4R is more balanced than most.

w4 the way to go, x10 is not a bad choice but w4 is way better in all aspects except if u want a darker sound.
