Was there an option to select reporting a fraudulent transaction?
If so, then it should be faster?

No option to report fraudulent transaction. Only for lost cards. I guess they wouldn't put in a special option for that else everyone be led to thinking that it is very frequent with OCBC's cards to warrant a special option lol.

Anyway, if anyone has time... just go to the Money mind forum and search through people's feedback on OCBC's "fantastic" customer service standards. I'm not against cutting cost if it warrants. But maybe cut the the sponsorship of OCBC Cycle etc before you cut on customer direct touchpoint. Customer service is also a brand management touchpoint and a very crucial one cos your customers can be your strongest and most profitable brand advocates.

About fraudulent transactions, please report it immediately to us and we'll cancel and arrange a new card for you.

Once you report that your card is lost or stolen, you will not be liable for any fraudulent transactions on your lost or stolen card from the time you notify us.

Just call our Customer Service Centre on 1800 111 1111, if you happen to be travelling you can reach us at 65 6327 2265.

Thanks for the assurance, DBS Bank.

Hi DBS

If a debit card is expiring soon, what would happen? Would the bank send a new debit card with extended card expiry?

So never be greedy when it comes to wealth. Nothing is enough. Grab more while you can :D
I think this kiasuism is very unique to Singapore and is why many discounts / rebates / benefits get downsized in a short while

Yes, you'll get a replacement mailed to you. And then you can do the usual card activation through iBanking before you use the card.
