Hi heartywarrior,

The mobile banking app is not compatible with the iPad.
You can log in via Internet Banking on the browser instead.
You will be able to continue using SMS-OTP to log in to Online Banking even after the hardware token is discontinued.

thanks DG.... but then how about authorization for certain transactions like funds transfer or limit increases which the physcial hardware token is usually required to generate the otp? .... so without the app and no more hardware token, these can no longer be done in the online banking website?

My passbook has consolidated items (transaction code CSL).
How do I get the statement for the consolidated transactions?
I requested for it via a secured email but the reply is negative :s11:

Our service executive should be able to provide you with a consolidated statement for this.

Could you drop us a PM with your mobile number if you would like us to call, or you can send in another secured mail and drop us the 16 digit reference number thereafter.

In the secured mail, please state the following:

- Request for consolidated statement
- Your account number
- Date of consolidation

Hi OCBC,

your app is throwing the "Remote Administration Tools" error yet again... its been working fine for the past 6months.

how do we go about troubleshooting what is causing this to appear?

Hi stormfox,

Please try the following on your device:

Go to Settings > App Info > OCBC Bank and select the “Force Stop” option.

Go to the data storage menu, and select the options to “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”

Go to “Permissions”, and allow permissions for “Camera”, “Contacts”, “Location”, “Microphone”, “Phone” and “Storage”

Under the “Advanced” section, allow the option for “Display over other apps”

If you are still having issues thereafter, please drop us a PM with the following details:

- mobile number
- screenshot of error message received
- screenshot of the apps you have on the device

Hi all! Just FYI that there is this scam going around, i received an sms saying my account has been blocked from making transactions, and that i need to click on a link to "get my account back"

Thanks for the alert.
The SMSes are not sent by OCBC.

Are you able to drop us a PM with a screenshot of the SMS?

I got friends who dun have OCBC acct, also receive SMS...

I'm holding the white OCBC NTUC Plus! Visa credit card.
May I know is this credit card automatically cancelled by the bank when NTUC Union membership cease?

The Bank will check on NTUC Union membership status from time-to-time, and reserve the right to terminate the NTUC Plus! Visa Credit Card any time for non NTUC-Union members.

i've received an sms stating i "must conduct an account security check immediately, otherwise the account will be locked." with a bit.ly/ url

the thing is this looks like from the same source as by other sms from ocbc on transactions, otp, new e-statements readied as i don't delete these smses. This sms appeared in the same sender folder.

Please, for the safety and security of your own customers, STOP ASKING PEOPLE FOR THEIR PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL THEM. Just knock if off; it's embarrassing. There's NO WAY for a bank customer to verify that the caller is actually an OCBC employee acting in an official capacity and using a bank-monitored/supervised channel when you do this.

There are only two basic options for voice communications with reasonable confidence both parties can trust each other enough:

1. Ask your customer to call OCBC at the telephone number listed on your public Web site. You can provide a reference code if you wish. Example:

You may contact us by telephone at 6363 3333. You can verify that this is our telephone number by visiting our Web site:

https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/contact-us

Please mention reference code ATM1 for faster service.


2. This alternative approach (hypothetical, but it's something you should implement if you don't have it):

Or if you'd like us to call you, please visit:

https://www.ocbc.com/callback

Or tap the "Callback" button in the OCBC Mobile app. Fill in the short callback form, and click Submit. You'll then see a unique, one-time reference code. Do not share this one-time reference code with anyone. An OCBC representative will call you within 10 minutes and must mention this unique reference code to you. If the representative does not provide the correct reference code, tries to ask you for this reference code, or does not call within 10 minutes, you should not trust anyone calling who claims to be from OCBC.


That's it. Those are your only two basic options to protect the safety and security of your customers -- and the safety and security of OCBC Bank itself -- for voice communications.
