Seenspace is not that atas

It has Roast (ok for breakfast/brunch Big Bfast
B328, egg Benedict B225 etc) Lots of Instagram pics #roastbkk
And next door is Mr Jones' Orphanage (so so cakes)

I actually didn't mean Seenspace to be that atas but more of the area with expats frequenting which seems like one of the more upscale places even though it doesn't really suggest much. Lots of Japanese in that area along Soi 13.

Tried to find Roast but couldn't find. It is actually beside Mr Jones?

Yes. It is besides Mr Jones. I walked from Thonglor BTS. I almost missed it as I saw Mr Jones 1st as I walked.

Airasia? :p

When you first exit immigration, you'll see this counter with a TAXI sign. Apparently, that is NOT the taxi counter, because when I asked the policeman, he pointed me to Counter 8 which is at the far left of the airport.

Once out of immigration, ask where to get the tourist map. It'll be from the Tourism Authority counter. It's a very good map.

Rough fares:

Read more:

Airport surcharge is on top of the metered fare, which always start at 35baht.

Since you arriving so late, don't need highway.

So, first thing before you hop into the cab, say "Meter?". If yes, then go in.

Once in, say "no highway".

thanks bro

If my flight is at 925am, Suvarnahbumi Airport..is it okay for me to leave Glow hotel to take cab at 630am? Since check in counter opens 2 hrs prior (725am).

Should be fine. To be more assured, take the airport train.

Was advised not to take airport train as my mom with me, heavy bulky lugguages and the escalators got timing for going up/down. that's why taking cab. :)

6am to be safe. I'd rather you reach earlier than later. What day is it? Weekday or weekend may also make a difference on the roads and specially immigration.

Leaving for BKK for a short getaway this weekend.

Wanna check with all on the shopping culture there (it has been a while..). Is it still ok to bargain 50% down, esp at the weekend market? or end of pissing the shopowners off?

At DMK, for both arrival and departures, they have queues for Thai passport, ASEAN passport, and Foreign passport.

Same like what you see at Changi airport, above the counters, look for the counter label.

Not sure about the new airport though.

How to identify the queue?

For weekday flight, takes about 45min to reach the airport from Siam paragon. Add 30 min for airline check-in and about another 30min for immigration. Usually most people even single travellers will take cab if they have a lot of loot to bring back.

After x-ray area, will be immigration. Left for international passports and right for Thai passport. Queue with Asians usually will move faster.
