hi bro's , wanna ask a quick question since it will be my 1st time going to bangkok also. i will be arriving at the dmk airport close to midnight. any transportation to city like ratchadewi area? how much would a cab cost?

When you first exit immigration, you'll see this counter with a TAXI sign. Apparently, that is NOT the taxi counter, because when I asked the policeman, he pointed me to Counter 8 which is at the far left of the airport.

Once out of immigration, ask where to get the tourist map. It'll be from the Tourism Authority counter. It's a very good map.

Airport surcharge is on top of the metered fare, which always start at 35baht.

Since you arriving so late, don't need highway.

So, first thing before you hop into the cab, say "Meter?". If yes, then go in.

Once in, say "no highway".

once you are out from immigration go down stairs. get out of the area. taxi queue is all the way to the end on the left. taxi to ratchadewi should cost you around 200 - 300 baht including 50 baht airport surcharge.

2) is asiatique worth visiting? heard the traffic is bad?

rmb need pay 50b to driver coz is from international airport
then toll charge is 25 + 50b

2. asiatique is far if u wanna go
is go there look look c c , like clark quay
you can go tripadvisor check out the image
things there not cheap, those cafe or restaurants there, one pasta maybe 200+ ....

need alight at saphan taksin bts, then walk 5min to ferry pier
then wait for free shuttle boat , maybe abt 20 or 30min would have one.

I always order at the stall beside the chicken rice. 50 baht for mango only. The coconut shake at the nearby stall is to die for. 20 baht only!

Thong Lo. The soi 19 wan ton mee overrated for me. Thong Lo one also very good plus no queue. Not to mention the mango and coconut shakes. 1 meal 100 baht also can get.
