Alright first of all , we need to know what you are looking for in a laptop.
Do you want long battery?
Do you care about how heavy your laptop is? etc.

Anyway , Judging from the specs (Only) , I would go for the thinkpad.
Why?
Because it has 4 cores (meaning 4 processors) , so applications that supports multi-core would be faster.
It can support up to 16 GB RAM total. (Not that you need that much anyway.)
It has a better graphic card (In terms of CGI usage). Nevertheless , gaming wise it's still better , according to notebookcheck.
It has a larger screen , so.. You can watch movies with it? :0

Battery wise , I'm not sure how both will fare , but I think it's about the same for both , since both uses dedicated GPUs.

Also , don't limit yourself to these 2 choices only.. There are many other more choices that poly offers.

using the SH761. go for it if weight is an impt factor. for me, after one whole day of lugging the laptop around...the 700g difference is a lot to me when i had a toshiba that is ~2.3kg!

Anyone knows what does the 1.6ghz up to 2.8ghz means ?

I think I am going for lenovo thinkpad w510 . I am a boy and weight does not matter much to me . The battery life should be the same .

fujitsu battery life should be significantly better. 2nd generation intel dual core processor vs old process i7 dual core. 13.3 inch screen vs 15.6 screen. gt520m vs 880m quadro.
The fujitsu is newer technology. You can probably still do better than either though.

It depends on the individual notebooks. The fujitsu's processor is definitely better. Even though its dual core, its regular clockspeed is almost as fast as the thinkpad's max turbo clockspeed.
The thinkpad does have a faster video card. Both video cards are not great though. Both are similar or slightly faster than the integrated graphics in the 2nd generation (i7-2xxx) of intel core processors.
These both seem like poly notebooks. If so the ideapad 460 should be even faster than either of these. What you are paying for, for the fujitsu is the portability, and for the thinkpad is the brand and the ruggedness.

For w510 , someone told me that the laptop is more durable . while the y460 is not as durable due to Rollcage Armour . Designed to pass 8 rigorous MilSpec tests
(physical shock, thermal shock, altitude, dust,
vibration, humidity, heat and cold) .

For Lenovo y460 will spoil easily ?

You give me extra $500 to buy MY warranty Service, how about that? :s8:
Anyone can price anything more $$ doesn't mean it is good.
