I assume it was the same regardless of which PSU you used?

If so, I'm pretty sure it is the mobo then.

Thanks for the follow-up.

Well, I would conclude that it is the mobo issue since even if no cpu, ram and gpu installed, the case fans connected to the mobo should still be able to run continuously if PSU ok but yours doesn't. Some more you even tried a different PSU. Read through what others have mentioned and think it over cny ba.

Likely the mobo liao, if ram or processor....ur onboard fan pins still got power, that is.....ur casing & processor fans can still run. Just try a skeleton boot...if no go,,,can cfm mobo is dead....3rd Gen mobo very "lau" time to EOL....
yah not to forget change the ram to other dimm slot & the pci-e slot if ur using gfx card.

Change MB a lot need to change also, assuming current is dated technology. OS also need to reinstall; unless it was on ubuntu

if dated, can get same model to replace, much cheaper. many sellers on lazada/shopee

So got any lights on the motherboard?

check ur motherboard whether any troubleshooting led lights up

then check the manual to see whats the issue

should have 4 led together one

dun have a 2nd PC?

Yes and no. The PCB is tough but not necessarily the components on it. Traces on it can still be easily scratched by a careless screwdriver. Capacitors got a limited life. etc. That's why mobo manufacturers only offer a few years warranty unlike ram which is lifetime. Even PSU got longer warranty (5/10 years).

Some more his one is an ancient one.....from ddr3 time.

In any case, if the case fans connected to the mobo cannot even spin continuously on a power on, then it is very likely spoiled.
