take a guess?
anyway, i'm using a Singtel line.
so didnt encounter any of the outage reported :s13:

Some people are like that, they will take advantages whenever they can, like someone here. Karma will get to them, sooner than you think; they win 1 month wavier, they may lost their chance to strike 4D/Toto or they even lose money in some other ways.

I'm using M1 but lucky me yesterday outage i was not affected at all, i sms, call and surf the whole day. I dont need wavier, the plan i have already auto discount 25% every month for 24 months and i get FREE caller id and auto roaming for 24 months too.

Hi buddy you were not affected at all that's why you don't understand the frustration of some of us and could sound so gloated and righteous... It's always a pleasure to discuss other people's mishap, isn't it?

The purpose of asking for waiver, be it one day or one month, is not for the money per se. It's for teaching M1 a lesson: make this kind of rudimentary mistake, and the consequence will be dire.

Remember we are not talking about fancy 3G or 4G signals, but basic, plain GSM. If a mobile operator can't even get that right, then there is no point for its existence any more.

What is karma? " Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Please la. I don't believe in God nor Devil, so I have no regrets.

My bill is only $300 plus per month but it might be quarter of your pay but peanuts to my
gambling hobby.

i think M1 should really improve... they have been doing nothing for so damn long already. Their manager even told me they will fix a base station here for half a year already and now still no news from him.

Seriously. I being a consumer, you promised me that, you expect me to chase you whole year round?

I think that's the reason my parents refused to try out M1 in the office. The frequent maintenance alone is enough to kill all your clients and time.

I have called m1 and the operator tells me they not giving any compensation.
Dun worry m1, i will do complains myself to wherever i can as long it reach people.

Im a property salesperson and I do newspaper advertisments for properties and the number to callback was down.
I do not wnat to mention the opportunities lost. Being just the advertisements cost like $2xx.

I even asked to keep thier compensation, just allow me early termination and i go to other service provider. Not allowed!

What are you m1 telling me, use m1 only for secondary usuage? Because you gonna bear your own consequences if you over rely on m1?

And teach your operators on how to talk. All i received is no for anything i asked. I dont think saying just Nos is good. Talking to her really pissed off.

At least you can shout and curse to let out that frustration from your system. That's what I did =:p

Funny, I seems to recalled hearing from so many on this forum, how much better M1 is as compared to the other two Telcos. Guess that's not exactly true.

M1 announced on Tuesday that it will provide one day's worth of free local mobile calls, SMSes and MMSes on Wednesday.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the telco said: 'Due to an unexpected technical failure on a card in one of our many customer management servers, a small percentage of our customers was not able to connect to our network on 18 May 2011.

'In view of this incident, M1 advises that all our customers will enjoy one day of free local mobile calls, SMS and MMS, on 25 May, Wednesday.'

M1 added that the free service will last from 12am to 11.59pm.

The free calls, SMSes and MMSes will not be deducted from the free minutes and messages included in M1 customers' existing mobile service plans.

'We are sincerely sorry and would like to thank our supportive customers for their understanding. Our customers' experience is of key importance and we will continue to improve the robustness of our network', M1 said.

M1 service down currently.

Quote fm M1 website:

"One of our mobile network switches is impacted by a power problem and mobile services to some of our customers may be partially affected. We are in the process of restoring service and apologise for the inconvenience. Affected customers may want to try switching their devices from the 3G to 2G network. Updates will be provided when full service is restored."
