The title of this thread is literally "Help on growing wealth." You don't grow wealth, or at least you don't grow it as quickly, when you take distributions sooner rather than later. CPF has more significant limits on distributions before age 55. That's a GOOD thing if the objective is to grow wealth.

CPF are dead monies so unit trust FM make the correct decision reinvest automatically. Becuz if dividend give still go back CPF what for let govt take and invest? Monies stay with FM and ask them to work harder to beat the 2.5% for us. I am into unit trust since year 2000 and I can confidently say if you pick the correct fund it is doable. SA will be trickier at 4% but it doesn't hurt to invest some to unit trust to see the FM skills vs govt skills to beat 4%

You're not really allowed to do that. The CPFIS-SA unit trust list is quite short, and those funds tend to be extremely conservative, thus exceedingly unlikely to yield 4% or more net of costs.

Sorry to burst your bubble we are actually allowed to do that as I already done. Just that the list is shorter does not mean zero funds that can take SA monies. And also whether that fund can beat 4%. In fact there are two funds I found matching that.

The lists of CPFIS-SA funds are available here.
I already have the list remember I into UT investing since year 2000. I witness so many funds OA enabled become cash only due to new req from CPF and fund manager cannot meet so change to cash only.

Sharing my posts on from 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2021 on First State Bridge!

Its so good that I am using CPF-OA to invest in it! - i.e. I actually share what I am invested in, and I have been recommending it for the longest time!

I am treating CPF-SA as my bond component at the moment. Every year collect 4% passive income! Wow! I will only touch SA for investment if I run out of cash and CPF-OA which was what happened in the last GFC...

The problem with CPF investment is dividend also go back CPF not as cash you can withdraw all and spend. So alot of CPF funds say dividend is reinvested but if cash is paid out.
There are funds that do dividend reinvestment.

"The problem with CPF investment is dividend also go back CPF not as cash you can withdraw all and spend."
Don't forget you are using CPF monie :ROFLMAO: what you earn go back to CPF. Until 55 then you are withdraw.
So plan for 55, after that withdraw and switch to cash investment and you got alot more choice then now.

CPF SA 4% why risk, play safe better. Every year get your interest compounded.

CPF SA your monies why stick to only govt 4%? For this portion you can leave half give govt work half give other FM work and then see who work best. There are a lot of posts mention the limited SA fund that can match that 4%

there are always people who thinks they can do better Ma. Whether that’s true or not another matter
I been with FSM unit trust since year 2000 for SA there is indeed 1 or 2 that can match. Whether true you can don't believe but I myself know can already since I got the statement. Furthermore 40k SA cannot invest already got protection layer why so scared?

Ok it is your own monies you decide. Just to inform as you grow older your OA contribution will get lesser and SA get more which means capital for the OA investment route will be lesser. So it doesn't hurt to source some good SA funds to play safe.

You saying till like “black swan event” doesn’t exist in this world.

im not doubting it is possible to do better than SA. But I would vehemently disagree if you are suggesting that it is bao jiak.

i.e. for the same level of risk as SA, you can ALWAYS do better.

i wouldn’t agree with “always”

Sorry when did I say bao jiak? I say put half give govt invest and then put half give FM invest see who works better didn't I ?

Furthermore even if I don't put half, govt already bao jiak my 40k SA to invest already.

Yes, start from 50. I'm there liao
I already use quite alot from my OA, for stocks and UT. Both are rewarding. My SA also reach FRS liao, although I'm late in doing that.

Just a side note: UT/FSM funds, there are management fee and your agent bank also charge a fee. So all these fees add up quite alot.
