this is employer matters .. u need not worry on that. mom will accept as these are coordinated behind the scenes with ica already.

Hi all, need urgent advice. My fiancé is a Malaysian currently working in SG, and I am a Singaporean. We are going to ROM early November 2019. I have previously applied for PMLA, and is approved. Also have approval from MOM to ROM.

Should/Can I apply for LTVP for him now before ROM?
And if I can’t apply for LTVP for him before ROM, can he still work after ROM (while waiting for the LTVP)?

Is there anything I/ his employer need to do at the moment so he can continue working after we ROM?

You can apply ltvp after rom and yes as long as he has a valid work permit from his employer, he can still work. After ltvp is settled, update his coy hr and they will do the necessary. Which means his wp would be cancel and coy will settle the consent portion for him to work.

Technically you're the sponser. So if not ROM yet, there is no relation for sponsership..

You can apply ltvp 1 day after ROM.

Meanwhile please ensure you prepare all his certificates, photos, payslips, employment letters, Transliteration into english and certified true copies.

There is no way to do anything unless you bring forward your rom...

Also go for the pre marriage class would help ...

My wife was granted 2 years LTVP (I Guess in accord that she worked in Singapore for a few years)on the first application and the subsequent one ICA gave 3 years with LTVP plus.

was it an automatic conversion from ICA to ltvp+ or do you have to apply or something?

Automatic, either your spouse pregnant or married more than 3 years in order to auto qualify for 3 years LTVP+, subsequently renew is 5 years the max... every renew pass need to pay a $330 regardless the stay duration period.

From April 2019, processing fees increase till $105

If u calculate everything for renew pass, last time use to be $90 but after apr 2019, is $330... almost 3.5x increase..

Why u using mom ltvp. U shd use ica ltvp. Mom ltvp is for employer to apply for eligible s pass holder

One more qns, one of the criteria for LTVP is that the sponsor need to provide letter of employment WITHIN 1 MONTH from issue date. How do I go about doing that?

Better u renew yourself ... otherwise if expired good luck ...

Spouse LTVP expired 1 year .. so when we renewed was given the LTVP+ automatically ..
