Hi sorry guys , sorry to bump on old thread . I have recently replace my fuel pump around 3 months ago at car click jb. After replacing my fuel pump , I notice my fc increase suddenly. Was going around 10-11.5 km/l but my last full tank average is 7.8 km/l.

I have no doubt on ah yuen workmanship as I have been going there for years but this is something that happen which need to resolve.

I have been to a few workshop but they couldn’t find any leak within the fuel line. Appreciate if someone here can recommend me any workshop that specialize in troubleshooting and repair with reasonable pricing.

There is also another problem : I have cranking problems and it happens only 1 out of maybe 10 times. Usually when it happens, the crank is strong but can’t engage. I have to crank a 2nd time before I manage to start the car.

I’m driving a 12 years old Suzuki SX4.
Hope the bros here can help to share your knowledge.

Just speculating, Fuel line if there's a leak will have strong fuel odour. When changing fuel pump, did you replace the fuel filter at the same time? Air filter replaced? Tyre pressure checked? Oxygen sensor checked/replace?

I would focus on the Oxygen sensor as this will affect fuel consumption greatly.
