Can also consider Xiaomi Mi Q1 TV (75") - better visuals with weaker gaming (4K60 or 2K120) and slower UI (due to processor) at similar price to U7H.
Yes, this was the 3rd option I had :D
I don't mind the onboard UI and speed because I use these TVs with my Shield TV Pro, so basically never any UI issues using this overpowered Android box.

Is Hisense more reliable than TCL or same same? Xiaomi usually 12 months later will shop you dead pixel etc

Anyone knows if Hisense Tvs have Apple Airplay?

Some people says have if you go into Input.

Is it really necessary to get DV and Atmos for that budget?
Atmos on a TV is a fallacy
DV requires 1000 nits and most entry level TVs don't get generate 500 nits..
So please check that the sets you have identified do so..
Atmos I on TV is necessary for it to pass Atmos signal to soundbar like Sonos Beam/Arc.

Yes it's difficult to find budget TVs supporting Atmos. Sony is the only big brand that has it on all 4K models.

Hisense having it is a big plus

Using soundbar with Atmos is a waste of time. For true Atmos effect, u need ceiling speakers

I’m still contemplating between u8h and c835. Though there’s a slightly price diff plus OS diff. Panel wise also. VA vs IPS

I went to courts and view. It’s awesome!
but I didn’t get a chance to view c835

Didnt get a chance to view the U8H but went to TCL office and AH and their current roadshows to view the C835 and are likely going ahead with it cos of Google TV OS, Airplay and it looks really good too. 😅

What’s the pricing now?
55 and 65”
If the gap isn’t big get the VA if you can discern a difference

C835 has whine coil issue. Latest firmware didnt solve issue only make sound softer but cause local dimming not working. Look like an underclock by latest firmware. Source from facebook reels.

I saw 2 models find that hisense is brighter could be that extra 200nits in play. Tcl showroom was dark whilst courts tampines was bright. Hisense cannot adjust black level tcl can.

Nice you have made up your mind. I’m still pondering and waiting for the 11.11 prices to see any significant diff

I’m looking at 55” only
Based on the previous 10.10 sales
U8h is 1.3k+ and C835 is 1.6k+
There is about $300+- diff

VA is more superior than IPS panel?

Yes indeed Hisense u8h model is very bright and clear. I was quite impressed with the images. Are you saying u8h is brighter than c835?
