Hi, i want to rent car through Jalan.net, but it require katakana name and phone number in booking pages after i selected the plan, i do not have both, how do overcome that? TIA?

Katakana is just japanese alphabet of ur name. U can convert from ur name. Phone number I usually just put 65 xxxx xxxx. Or 065 xxxx xxxx

Is by pronunciation. As long as ur English name is correct there should be no issue.

Just google english to japanese name converter and use that. I used my SG phone number iirc.

i think discount value of about 10-15% of rental cost is about right

those 10k coupons are for higher rental amounts

you can always book first, if better deal comes along, rebook, then cancel

if really just for 2 days, the value is not significant ... dont sweat over it

i have rental 660cc several times in Hokkaido, mostly 2 adults or 3 adults without issue

the best one being the Suzuki Hustler, a hybrid

for 4 persons, luggage space could b problem .. especially if kids need child seats

can consider Toyota Sienta or Honda Freed

I am looking to rent a car for road trip for a upcoming trip to Hokkaido. My qns is, in the event of an accident with the rental car, the typical flow is to call emergency services, police or/and ambulance (if applies) and also the rental car company hotline. However, most, if not all, esims and data sims for tourist do not have call capability. Thus would like to seek recommendations and solutions as to how everyone tackled this painpoint.

nowadays local sims can do roaming data and also idd calls, eg. simba and eight.

They dun have emails. U can try calling but dunno if they will entertain u or not. I have not tried before.
