That's not bad, the costs.

I rented a Toyota Voxy for 4 days from otaru to hakodate 2wks ago for 89k yen. So much relaxing to drive.

All car rentals there want you to keep the receipts. They never require you to pump anything more than regular petrol. They probably want to make sure you pump the right type of fuel (aka not diesel).

Not compulsory to pump before you return but if you didn't, they will charge you a fee for not doing so, which is higher than if you fill the tank yourself. So better to return with full tank.

pump full before returning was pretty standard. but requiring to produce last receipt was something new for me.

quick search seems like it started in 2024 when SG starts to feedback that requirement. just something to note for my next car rental

I guess to ensure the tank is full full when u return the car. The receipt is proof.
they can't confirm from fuel meter? receipt still not proof of full tank, just could tell correct type been pump.

maybe some "smart" AT flouting rules, causing inconvenience for everyone

1st thing when i returned the car, the attendant asked to see the fuel receipt. He did not even look at the needle. the needle may be pointing at "F", but it is not a real indication of the tank being full. Some km may have been traveled with the needle still at "F". The receipt will proof it is a full tank. These attendants know what to look out for.

Anyone know what time does the Jalan. Net 10k yen coupon drop every Wednesday? Camped at 9am but don't see it drop this round. Last used was 1 year ago, not sure if it's still a going coupon drop.

Another Wednesday, but no drop of the 10k coupon again. Anyone know their drop schedule?
