My friends also buy the cheaper ones, after awhile all collecting dust.
Meanwhile I still use my powerhouse system on a weekly basis for the past 1.5 years.
I mainly use it for kpop so my wait time quite long, 3weeks - 1 month.
Mandarin songs definitely way faster due to popularity, 1 week sometimes will music update 2-3 times.
The price definitely worth it.

Are there any systems without amplification that I can plug into my existing home theater? Probably only need the microphones/mic receivers, and the actual unit that connects to the list of songs and allows for song selection/navigation.

Powerhouse? One tablet like unit connect via hdmi to avr. Their wireless mic connects to their tablet.

Anyone tried the Bose L1 Pro 8 as their speaker system?

I know the Bose S1 Pro has been recommended and I can get effectively two S1 Pro’s for the price of one L1 Pro 8, but I have very limited floor space and no bench space for speakers so a single L1 Pro 8 seem to do the trick as it’s suppose to be able to project sound 180° from its line array speakers.
So even if I put it off-centre (just one side of TV), I think it should ‘fill’ the living room?

As for connections, am I right that I just plug the karaoke unit (or any source unit) audio out to stereo AUX input on the L1.
HDMI from Karaoke unit to TV.
Microphones to XLR-1/4” input on the L1

Only thing I think you miss out compared to two S1 pro’s is no stereo output with only one L1 pro unit but this doesn’t matter for karaoke anyways right?

Thanks in advance.

Got delay but I solved it. No delay if you connect from the device straight to the soundbar. Cannot connect hdmi to TV then to soundbar. Will have delay.

In my case, sonos beam only has one hdmi port so I got myself a av red white cable to hdmi converter then connect to soundbar. Separately connect another hdmi from device to TV for the visuals. Turn off hdmi audio option in settings

Alternatively I also tried connecting to my Samsung soundbar which has 2 hdmi ports. No delay when device connect straight to soundbar then to TV

Main thing is audio MUST go straight to speakers. Cannot go through TV

Hi bro, can to share the link for the av red white cable to hdmi converter? Is this one okay?

Small update since I decided to go ahead with the L1 Pro 8 for my karaoke sound.

Works very well with simple connections. HDMI to TV for video, RCA to AUX (channel 3) on the L1.
L1 can easily handle loud singing. I have the volume at about half or less and it’s already plenty loud.
No distortions or lag.

Mic plugs directly into channel 1 or 2 of the L1 which are mic level inputs. I’m using a wired Shure SM58 atm. But you can use any wired or wireless mic that has an XLR or 1/4” jack. There’s a slight hiss from the mic when it’s quiet but can’t hear it as soon as the music is on.
Reverb not very strong on the L1 even when turned to the max so if you like a lot of reverb, L1 probably not a good fit for you unless you want to buy a separate mixer with effects.
Actually I also have two wireless mics that plug into my karaoke unit which has more reverb and echo controls but mic quality not as good as directly plugged into the L1. So those mics cater for singers that like more echo and reverb.
Small footprint. Sits on the floor rather than on a shelf/console. But very tall with the height extender for the vertical speakers. Sits to one side of my TV but has enough spread of sound that it sounds pretty even.

It’s a PA system so only mono sound, not stereo. Not really an issue for karaoke but you wouldn’t want to use it for audiophile listening or home theatre where you want stereo, 5.1, 7.1 etc. But the bass sounds great so good for a party haha.

A bit expensive to be honest but I intend to use it for band jamming too so it serves dual purposes.

Overall very happy with it.
Used with the Powerhouse karaoke unit.

I have 2 wireless mics that uses the UHF but the the receiver to the soundbar seem to be broken.

Is there a device that receive 2 UHF signals and send them via bluetooth to my PC, Android TV or phones?

Only advantage the S1 have over L1 is the mobility. So easy to bring along S1 pro + Popsical + mics during CNY to relatives’ places. Other than that sound quality wise L1 is better every way.

Hi guys

was gifted a Sonos beam gen 2 and was wondering what’s the most effective connection setup to my Popsical remix 2.

I understand Popsical need to connect to the speaker via RCA to prevent the mic lag issue but the Sonos speaker only have HDMI arc port.

I am wonder does RCA to Hdmi converter works ?

When i bought mine, i only had the touchscreen version.
Now there's the remote version i think its better since there's less parts to fail
The touchscreen one not exactly worth the extra $$ spent.

Speakers wise the silm duo sounds alright, but i find that i cant really fill my living room

My current setup for jazpiper -> powerhouse amp -> powerhouse cinematic speakers for faster updates
if i need custom songs, since i only sing kpop then i'll use my powerhouse touchscreen (mandarin and english songs wont have this issue)

I bought my cinematic speakers from carousell @ 350/ pair, can keep a look out for deals like these

Most ppl I know are very happy with a HT/soundbar setup and separate karaoke portable setup (Bose S1 or JBL partybox or similar). You get your Dolby/atmos for movies and power for karaoke. Then most of these ppl are 80% movies 20% KTV.

If you are 80% KTV 20% movies then it makes sense to get a fixed system like Bmb.
Think my upstair neighbour has this system . I live downstair hear their 'bomb bomb' sound.
Next time, when I renovate my house I want to make it also but must have soundproof don't disturb neighbours
