where to buy one in singapore...?

There are some selling on Carousell, or you can buy via Apple.com (US) and send it to a freight forwarder which would help you ship it from the US to Singapore.

I can't wait for it to be released here so I bought 1 from Sim Lim Square @ S$570 and after Apple releases the AirPlay 2 & Stereo Pairing update, I bought another one from Carousell @ S$550.

https://sg.carousell.com/p/apple-homepods-172745832/

Go watch this video if you want to hear how stereo pair sound like as compare to a single HomePod.

Although I not the expertise on these, but consider I very sensitive to sound & Music. If U like those Acoustic music, stage music, it produce a very clean, clear & crispy sound. I find that those rock and EDM music to be normal or maybe the speaker itself is not mean for these.
But U need to have apply music subscription. Personally I find apple music to lost it mojo for it listener. Example those dislike music still appear all album. disappointing.
And if U playing on your apple music on iphone, homepod will stop playing as it can only play 1 device for personal subscription.

For console to AirPlay to the HomePod, it is not possible unless Sony supports it which they don't.

I thought Samsung tv gg to support AirPlay 2 so when I hook up my PS4 to a Samsung tv than can I airplay to HomePod ?

My guess is that the Samsung TV is the airplay "receiver" from iOS devices. I don't think the Samsung will airplay content to other devices.

I just bought a white set from Apple HK. Paid about... S$413 I think? I compared it to Sonos and being an Apple music subscriber too, homepod is perfect for my room needs. The bass is really so much better than Sonos! I hope Apple continue to allow software updates on this thing..

By the time HomePod comes to Singapore, it will be the second generation already lol. I got 2 HomePods from the states to set them up as stereo. Cost me about SG$320 each.

Anyway, HK HomePod comes with 3-pin plug.

It’s been 2 years since HomePod was announced and almost 1.5 years since it first went on sale. Wondering if this ver. 1 would ever be offically released here, or is Apple prepping for a ver.2 for a worldwide relaease.

I finally got a fren that travel to hk to get the HomePod for me. After CC charge. Ard SGD430. Very worth it as i also need it for homekit hub. As my appletv is not in the centre of the house. Some device sometimes unreachable.

Do i need to get apple care online. Or apple sg will not honour warrant?

Apple warranty is international.
If you bring it to Apple store in Singapore, they will have to ship it to Hong Kong for servicing then ship back to Singapore

My homepod suddenly no bass. Did not drop it or anything. Send it to Apple overseas to fix and told me they can’t do anything. Only offered me a $20 discount on a refurbished set! Told them to fly kite. Only used it sparingly about once a week since I bought it 1.5yrs ago. Anybody else experience this?

Both of my HomePod are still working perfectly since launch day. Played songs through stereo pairing and they never sound better.

My HomePod (bought in Australia) wouldn't connect to anything after about 2 weeks. After troubleshooting with phone support, they told me they will most likely do a 1-1 exchange but their HomePod support policy is only in country of purchase. I asked if it's possible to bring to USA (as I was planning to travel there) to do the exchange but they said no.

In the end had to ask a friend to being to Australia and exchange it for me.

So beware if you are buying overseas set.

There is only overseas set for HomePod. Always buy it at your own risk. Doesn’t mean because it’s Apple, they can freely do an exchange for you in another country.

I never liked buying export or overseas set. Very troublesome. If it’s not released locally either wait or don’t buy it. Simple.

I bought mine from owc, their warranty is that you need to ship it to them at your own costs then they will 1 to 1 ship another to u.

Is it better to get a US or HK version? US is approx $70 cheaper, but not sure if having the power plug adapter plugged in forever is worth it.

What’s the pros and cons for using the power adapter compared to using a native UK plug?

Or can I get the US version and buy a UK plug cable from eBay and swap it? Because I see review that the power cable can be removed with enough force.
