got my magic5 pro and using without any issue. been reading on the volte issue from last few pages, don't really affect me. anyway from news, will only start from next year onwards, so far camera is great and no using playing my pubg, no lag at all.

thinking of getting honor 90 to replace my old samsung note as work phone as its dying.

Anyone know if the 'volte issue' is only with SIMBA? (Other networks non-issue?)

Simba only has 4g network. They do not have 3g. So in order to make calls on simba, u must have volte, else the workaround is to use the simba app to call

If u on the major telco ST, SH and M1, you shouldn't have any issue with this phone.
If you on simba, perhaps u can try to keep the voice app locked in background so it doesn't close..
hopefully can help those on simba.

A big thank you to all for their sharing. Very much appreciated. So it has no issues with compatibility in sg daily usage and is a great phone till next year at least, where the 3g discontinued problem comes if approval is not given to honor. Cheers.

Can't Magic5 Pro users make calls over 5G (i.e. VoNR)? Or also not supported like VoLTE?

If the phone cannot support 4G or 5G calls on local networks, Honor will have to stop selling it by 1 Feb if I read the IMDA regulations correctly.

Anyway this 1 Feb deadline to stop selling non supported phones is super kuku. Why do they allow retailers to sell phones which will become unusable in a few months? The victims will be those non IT savvy aunties and uncles who unknowingly buy these phones and in a way foot the bill for the retailers who have non supported stock of phones.

They kept advertising HONOR 90 on FB instead of Magic5 Pro.. So weird..

I think sg was the first country/one of the first countries that they launched Honor 90 series in while Magic 5 Pro was launched some time ago elsewhere...
