Only honor. Im just rating base on reviews, so take it with a grain of salt. My opinion is also based on spec sheet, which can be quite crap, like how i was concerned about oled vs amoled, but the screen is very nice.
The speaker on the M8 Pro literally squashed both Oppo and vivo.
Poco F8 ultra speaker better. Haha
Shopee is cheaperHolding on to S25 Ultra, many speculation led me to think that S26 ultra will just be another literal model without notable upgrade and hence, I'm now an owner of a 4 hours old Magic 8 pro.
Why M8P?
After intensive research, this is the only phone (for now) to get based on:
1. Camera - significant upgrade compared to last year's model and my current S25U. I did consider Oppo X9 pro but concluded that they are both equally good with preference for colour processing.
2. Processor - there is a reason why Snapdragon is so much more expensive than Dimensity Soc, the performance. This is why Oneplus 15 and M8P will not have that occassional gittles Oppo FX9 and Vivo x300 have.
3. Huge Battery and now it performs well too. I gave up hoping Samsung will implement this.
4. 3D face unlock - this on top of ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is what all the above phones will never have. Yes, the notch is bigger but it's still smaller than iPhone and the dynamic Island is somehow working well.. good iOS copy.. lol.
5. I used to think that Samsung OneUI is good and had been using S20U till S25U. During my research, with I realised that Colour OS from Oppo and Magic OS version 10 has notable improvements. Imagine that Samsung is just starting to give user the full customisation of drop down shortcuts in the upcoming OneUI 8.5. Samsung is not just complacent, they are too conceited with their market leader position.
I got this as a Telco set from Mister mobile in the afternoon and opt for self collect in their shop. The set though Telco set is sealed and brand new. Check out Lazada as it's cheaper than Shopee.
Going to explore more of the new phone now.

Actually I do want to see their comparison to see how close magic8 pro is to a specialised speaker phone. Because the honor speaker really shocked me.
What about the hyperos do you not like? I'm seriously considering either the honor magic 8 pro or the poco f8 ultra.
You're comparing a flagship tier with a budget mid range phone.. the difference in price and hardware are pretty huge...

I thought Poco f8 ultra should be more like flagships killer rather than budget mid ranger.

I reserved a black unit but end up opted for sunrise gold as well.
You got it from Hougang Green? Lol...I paid and reserved one at Hougang Green. Then went to collect but informed that it was assigned and collected by someone already. They assigned another one at Yishun outlet for me. Too far lah so I cancelled the order. Waiting for refund.
China phones are well known to have way better reception, try it and you will know it.
