Got 5G using my Singtel line.

I contacted Honor support and was told that V2 support only 3g and 4g here. Think Honor did not enable 5g setting.

Oh that's strange. i was at singtel on friday to collect my iphone and switched my singtel sim card to hv2 and i vividly rem i saw the 5G logo on the phone. Let me switch my singtel sim card later to the hv2 and do a screen shot.

Not true...Im using Singtel 5G. the 5G logo shows up. Speed wise I dont know, haven't benchmarked.

Also, not sure if VOLTE / VOWIFI is working as the corresponding labels are not displayed. Unless anyone can give some short codes to key into the device to check

I am suspecting why M1 and Starhub cannot go into 5g mode. Singtel seems to be working. Any one can confirm M1 and Starhub?

I'm using Starhub on my HMV2. so far only seen 5G once at Suntec near Uniqlo.

Have a feeling they won't launch in sg, noticed that the few Chinese brand like vivo, oppo or honor don't launch their Flagship in sg, likely because demand here for the better phones not high. Just hope it will launch in msia and buy from there

I suspect as much too. Once they launch a global rom version, I'll just buy it from Malaysia or whichever (shopee/lazada) that imports it at a reasonable price.

Ok to clear all the 5G stuff. Tested a few locations. Using 2 telco and it is only 5% of the time it will switch to 5G. Not sure why. Have a pixel fold at the same time and is basically full time 5G.

Conclusion is 5G working but very selectively.

I actually doing real time comparison with pixel fold side by side. Just that pixel fold is 5G but V2 still 4G. Not sure why. But I think Honor can do some configuration? No choice have to live with it.

I just receive my CMLink Sim Card today, activation is pretty fast and submit application for the 1CMN, approval was within few hours instead of the mentioned 5 days so I turn on the SMS and Call forwarding after login into my CMLink account.

I went to register the Honor ID in my Magic V2 also the Beta Club then fill up the form and submit so now waiting for the update of firmware.

I have receive SMS from Honor Club that I have been selected in the Firmware beta program and was informed that they are testing the Wechat in Google Playstore on the separate screen function but does not affect the normal Wechat operation, I have submitted my agreement to go ahead with the Firmware Beta program so I should be receiving my Firmware Update soon!
