Honor Magic V5

V5 definitely is a plus because it has desktop mode. N5 doesn't have it. I wish they can improve the desktop mode just like Samsung DEX then I don't need my laptop anymore.
Overall V5 is more snappy too except the camera start up sometimes it is randomly lag at the beginning.
Vibration both on V5 and N5 are suck btw.
Battery life, I'm not sure, N5 is not bad but V5 is so so too. I have many email both Gmail, outlook and MS Teams for work, 2 WAs, WeChat and socials as well as connected to Oppo watch X2. so the push notifications are draining battery too. It is hot when charging wirelessly on V5 and slow, dunno if Honor got a special fast wireless charger that is not burning hot.
I wish there are more options for magnetic casing for V5.

So far using for about a week.. I never face any camera startup lag issue tho.. startup is immediate and shutter speed is fast..I'm also on dual sim and dual apps for almost everything.. so far quite decent SOT and consistent...I don't use wireless charging so can't comment lol..

Tested on my original oppo charger never show any fast charging indicator normal charging speed... Aohi 140w gan charger shows 66w max super charging speed boost charging mode enabled.. another 100w gan charger also normal charging speed only...

did you use china plug version? but i just ordered one cuktech 10 ultra charger...with display. it clearing custom now.

let see if it can trigger the 66w charge later.

Yup china 2 flat pin.. usually the seller or item page can verify if can trigger the Huawei honor protocol... Safer before buying ...

woke up this morning and saw Honor Wallet finally here.

But for the life of me, i cant seem to scan my NFC condo access card. Anyone successfully added cards to Honor wallet yet?

Maybe your condo card too secure and encrypted which is a good thing lol..my office card works..

for those long term honor users, any idea when will the price start to drop? I'm not in a rush and am hoping to grab it at max 1.8k after coupons and stuff. so far the 'cheapest' is still at 1,9xx after coupons.

also want to enjoy my current xm 15 ultra camera a bit longer since it's still quite new.

Nowadays you can clone or duplicate access card already. They are all encrypted with master key.

Oh by the way, my V2 has some issues with Singpass QR on certain sites/apps.

The QR code appears but nothing happens when i click on it. It doesn't redirect to Singpass app. So i have to access via Login/Password instead.

Does anyone else have this issue?

My recover by itself on Sunday morning. The permissions to read contact was remove when there is issue.
On Sunday morning, all my WA chats shows only number, no names. So change the permissions to read contact again, till now everything is ok.
