Yup. That's why I am seriously considering Cosmos. Among the hotels I've checked, I would say this one offers the best value for money (location good, size good)!

Most likely, it's either an Airbnb apartment (still checking out), or Cosmos for us.
How do you guys do laundry if not airbnb?

stay in xi men ding is good right?

I prefer those gt breakfast one
i stayed at 星西门 during ndp week, diagonally with Donki, $49/nite for twin bed room with lousy window view. Bright & clean room. located on level 9-10 of old commercial building like golden mile complex.

no breakfast but downstairs plenty options fastfood, tw stalls, restorans, illegal pushcarts

I booked this a while back for my upcoming trip. But some of the reviews scares me. Like very thin walls and dirty rooms. But surprisingly the general score still one of the highest so I don't know want to rebook another hotel since I have free cancellation.
Can u hear the rooms beside u or street noise ?

Seems like just renovated, my room at L10 very new. My window facing other apartments kitchen/balcony, so don't have street noise. Can see how dirty + messy is Taiwanese ppl home.

Aircon compressor noise outside window + next room ppl chatting can hear, my 7 days stay neighbours not chatty. But i slept late 1-2am and wakeup 7am, and i liked to switch on tv when i awake, maybe I am noiser.

Smelly lift just ok, same as sg hdb flats one. People's park HDB more smelly.

Also beggars sleeping along the stone benches along this hotel building at midnight till early morning, if you're not comfortable with dirty old man/woman, can avoid this hotel.

I gave all my old clothings to them, luggage space empty when back, good to put those snacks + souvenirs, at airport check-in only 15+kg for 2pax.

La Vida Hotel in Taichung
Hotel to fengjia night market is very near, just turn right cross the road to a small lane, walk straight, you are in the night market in less than 2 mins.
Room is big and comfortable, it's quiet too.

Thanks. Do you have any recommendation for Kaohsiung near Ruifeng Night Market or Kaohsiung Main Station?

I too long didn’t go Kaoshsiung so can’t recommend you.
Can try asking in Taiwan main thread, a lot of expert there.

i only realised the link you posted is not a signature. :s13:
Okay i read the article,
and yes i know nowadays most toilet in their train stations and malls are able to flush toilet paper. Airport definitely no problem as well.
Kinda disappointed many hotels in XMD still can't do that, therefore I'm asking.

I'm rather surprised Rainbow Hotel can do that. It's definitely a plus point.
