For sokcho, find a hotel near the bus station/beach area.
More convenient.

Also depends on budget, Lotte Hotel is nice with ocean view but expensive.

This one in Sokcho also seems not bad

Thanks for the feedback, you’re a nice guy.
How I wished I could understand Korean.
Anyway, thanks. The pics on the link seemed nice and I believe it must be a good hotel.
I can’t afford high end accommodation, Lotte resort out of my list.
Will try to look out Aplace on Agoda website.

Ibis rooms are small n very basic.
Dont really rexommend unless u dont care for those.

L7 myeongdong is nice n one of my preferred Seoul hotels.
Have airport bus outside, some rooms have views of namsan tower.
Also close to subway n near the main myeongdong shopping area.
They also have laundry room

Dont know about the other 2.
Location seems good, close to subway.

Anyone stayed in the following before?

Four point Sheraton Seoul
Courtyard Seoul Namdamun
Four Point Sheraton Myeondong

I prefer Marriott chains since I am a platinum member. Any thoughts? Courtyard looks better with king size bed

1.Four point Sheraton Seoul
- easy access to Arex station to airport
- surprisingly, far from subway station, long walk.
- rooms are ok, quiet

2.Courtyard Seoul Namdamun
- location quite good, close to myeongdong
- room design is nice
- but very noisy if room faces street
- bad customer service

3.Four Point Sheraton Myeongdong
- didnt stay here before

Have stayed at 1 and 2 and wouldnt stay again at either.
Dont recommend either.

Didnt stay at 3.

U can also check out aloft and moxy myeongdong
Le meridien is in same building as moxy.

Westin chosun is nice but pricey.

Thanks so much. If I come from Incheon airport and intend to head to Busan, staying 1 night in Four Point Sheraton ok right? Aloft and Moxy room very small I heard and the price is also expensive.

Thanks. Interestingly Aloff and Courtyard same price. If stay near Sheraton Four Point Seoul,is there any good food/ must go place within Seoul station? Day 1 perhaps I will take it easy and nua around. The price for Sheraton Four point Seoul is quite cheap. Wonder whether it make sense to walk 10 min to subway station everyday since can save about $70 per day compared to Aloff and Courtyard. I presume seoul station is mostly for inter-city rather than within Seoul?

Seoul station is for the intercity trains n also a rather big subway station itself.

Not sure about good food but there are restaurants everywhere.
Should be ok, if not wont survive.

Seoul stn also quite central.
If u dont mind walking, can easily walk to most of the tourist sites like namsan or namdaemun or myeongdong

Download Naver app... there are restaurants ratings and plenty of photos to help you decide what to eat there...

Or can go to the Lotte Mart at Seoul Station... go try out all their food samples... especially those noodles ones... :p

fairfield seoul is terrible... there is absolutely no noise insulation at all.
One side is the main road and other side is subway that only stops 1am to 5am
It is like the room is right next to the subway...impossible to sleep
