Arrived in Seoul today in the morning and checked in into The Stay Classic Hotel. Just opened 3-4 months and everything is brand new. I'll do a review when the trip is done.

Staying 5 nights and paid $487 via trip.com

For jeju hotels, if 4 nights, just stay at 2 places, one in south one in north?

I'm thinking of trying grand Hyatt jeju on my last night but probably may not stay 2 nights since it's more ex but that would mean, have to stay at 3 different hotels.

Stay 2 places is better so u wont have to drive so much.

Thanks dude. Gonna split into two places but want to check with you also, for jeju city, does it matter to stay at the old town area or the new town area?

I'm looking at some hotels in the new town area but the black pork street and shopping street is at the old town area, can just walk over for dinner without driving.

Any thoughts on Fairfield by Marriott Seoul?
This is the one i totally cannot recommend.

It is beside a subway track n the windows are not soundproof.
Super noisy all day n night.

It is cheap but wont be able to sleep

Wow! Haha! Thanks. Strangely in Mar 2024, holiday inn express is $200. Maybe that is the Korea peak where all cheong to see cherry blossom?

Can anyone share their thoughts on these hotels
(1) Glad Mapo
(2) Lotte City Hotel Guro
(3) Hotel PJ Myeondong
(4) Ibis Style Ambassador Seoul Myeondong

Any issue staying in Dongdaemum or Gangnam?

2. Lotte city guro is not very convenient for tourists.
Also a bit far from attractions.

4. Ibis hotel rooms are very small. Stayed before at the one in Insadong.

Gangnam area is more like an office area.
Dont really recommend for tourists.

Dongdaemun is ok.

For first time, usually recommend myeongdong or hongdae areas.

How do you find this The Classic Stay Hotel in Myeongdong? Is it at a good location?

How do you find as in directions or where I book it from? It's a good location as it's located in the city center. If you have a small/medium luggage you can walk from the Seoul station for about 10-15 mins.

5 min walking distance to the myeongdong walking street where the street food is. Opposite the hotel is the namdaemun market where you can find lots of stuff.

Public transport is convenient. Convenience store a few steps away if need anything late at night. Did all the laundry in the room and hang it in the balcony.

Use naver map when you are there. Helped me a lot. Walked a lot as well.

Have a look at Discover Seoul Pass if you are going free n easy
