Hi anyone have stayed at hotel skypark central myeongdong, metro hotel myeongdong or hotel pj myeongdong before able to share your review? Deciding among this 3 hotels for our upcoming trip. TIA
Stayed a few times at metro in the past.
The location is quite good.
Very close to one of the euljiro subway stations in a quieter part of myeongdong.

They provided a basic breakfast of toast n cereal in the morning.

Rooms were clean but very small for the cheapest ones.
No views.

Some hotels in myeongdong have views of namsan at night.

Didnt stay at the other 2.

Skypark central is right inside the busy myeongdong area n while i didnt stay there, i felt it would be too noisy n crowded at night.

There were airport buses in myeongdong that easily serve these hotels but not sure if they are still running.

Another hotel i recommend in myeongdong is L7 myeongdong.
Some rooms also have night viewz of namsan.

Have decided to stay at L7 Hongdae.

Will be arriving Incheon at local time 6am.

Is it correct that i must wait till about 7am to catch the first 6002 airport bus and alight at Hongik University Station?

thanks

L7 hongdae is my fav hotel in that area.
Very convenient location

Be sure to get a high floor if facing the main road or will get very noisy at night.

Ya seems 7am is the earliest if departing from T1 terminal

- unlike many big hotel chains, no need to earned minimum points to book a free nights. Whatever the points you earned from previous stay, can use them to offset the a night stay with whatever the points you have.
- in jan. I stayed total 13 nights at 2 of their hotels and earned more than US$67 worth of points at the moment.
- not sure about now, but somehow, I manage to join L Points membership. With this, you can earn L points on top of hotel's reward points and I have used them for purchase at Lotte mart and can earn it from all the Lotte dept. stores, mart, shops & restaurants within their malls or any affiliated stores. Especially, at the mart like emart, some goods or consumable products are member only prices. So showing L points, you will get further discounts at the check out counter.

Haven't been in a while but people here said myeongdong is half of what it was.
Not as lively n not as many food stalls as before.

Myeongdong is quite central though n easy to get around.

I prefer Hongdae area for liveliness
HONGDAE’s liveliness is because of night life such as puband clubs? Is it a messy area even though near University?

Am wondering if it is family friendly hotel and surroundings.
Thanks

Am thinking of switching from L7 Hongdae to Nine Tree Myeongdong 2.
Anyone stay here before? How does it compare to Nine Tree Myeongdong or Hotel SkyPark central?

Hongdae has many students n tourists in the area.
Have restaurants, live music performances, shops, cafes.
All combined makes it a very lively place.
Not a messy area, not geylang type place.

There are some clubs/bars but i never went to those.

Hongdae location is quite good as well for a base to move around Seoul n has train service to the airport

I only stayed at Glad Yeouido and was a very good hotel for ~$100 a night. Guess, Glad Mapo should be good to considering good reviews.

Havent stayed at these 3.

Seems Amanti Seoul isnt really close to a subway station.
MIght be tiring to walk far to a subway station each day.
Positive is that it is close to Hongdae.
Lots of food n such.

Glad Mapo/Roynet are very close to subway stations
Glad seems to be on a main road which might be noisy.
Have to ask for higher floor or room facing away from the street

One thing to consider is that if these hotels have an airport bus nearby.
So u wont have to travel far when checkin/out

Thanks! How is Mapo area in general to stay?

I see the following prices for a 4 night stay. Amanti hotel outside looks nice but inside room is boring. Roynet and Glad inside looks better

Amanti - 470, Glad - 500, Roynet 530

I think that the area around those 2 hotels seem to be a business type area.
Not much going on around there but it wouldnt matter if u are going to be outside most of the time.

Which time period are u going to be there?

If u want a more lively night scene, maybe Hongdae or Myeongdong area

If you are staying at Glad Mapo, make sure to visit Yeouido Park (Yeouido stn, only 3 stops from Gondeok stn) for cherry blossom. Try to get there early as the place will be very crowded. Aftewards, you can go to The Hyundai Seoul or IFC mall for a meal.

I stayed at Soyu Hotel in 2019. Pretty good. Good location though have to walk slightly upslope from the station.

The usual will be the Jagalchi market, the Taejongdae Park, the Gamcheon Culture Village, the
Oryukdo Skywalk, and the Haedong Yonggung Temple. I strongly recommend the Haedong Yonggung Temple.

Hi All, We had 5 adults. When I search for 5 persons, I can't get much choice due to mostly 1 room max 2 person or family room for 4.
Can I book for 2 room for 4 person or 1 family room for 4 and check in with 5 person? Will the hotel refuse the 5th person ?

Try hotels.com

Some of the hotels listed there allow 5 people to a room.

As to whether hotels will refuse a 5th person , that will be up to the hotel.
Usually they can add a portable bed n charge more.
Can contact the hotel to check in advance before booking.
