To be fair... i think last time they also caught pple planting spycams in budget and some popular hotels... but never say which one though... anyway i bought those detect spycam device for my korea trip... tested on my own house CCTV... it works... u can see the reflected infra light if there is a camera lens hidden somewhere...

No point staying near Everland unless u want to spend more than 1 day there to minimize travelling... same for Lotte World... no need to stay near Lotte World as transportation to Jamsil Station quite convenient...

Most pple will stay nearer to Myeongdong or Dongdaemum for the shopping... or Hongdae...
Can share what device you bought?

Moxy myeongdong is very good too
Excellent location. Rooms are modern and very nice.
Some rooms have views of namsan too.

Also have free coffee machine drinks like cappucino and latte at reception

Highly recommended!

Anyone stayed in Oriens Hotel and Residence Myeongdong previously? Any comments? I am looking at their 2 bedroom Deluxe.

Didnt stay there.
From the map, seems a bit far from the main myeongdong shopping area and is on a slight slope.

The taxi we took today actually drove by the highway near this hotel.
Location is not so good.
Dont recommend it.

Try to find something closer to the shopping area or subway.
Makes it easier to go back to hotel.

Moxy Insadong location is really good

Right off Jongro3 station exit 4 and across from Ikseon dong and Insadong
Nice shopping and eating areas.
Also walkable to the palaces and to myeongdong as well.

Hotel itself is very basic though.
Modern and clean with laundry facilities too

Recommended if the price is low

Stayed in Mohenic Hotel Myeongdong. Room is really bad. Centralised air-conditioning so its really warm. And this hotel is actually sharing the premise of Migliore Hotel Myeongdong. Migliore has its own front desk at Level 2. Mohenic is on the 17th level and you have to take a bloody cargo lift at first to reach, which is shady.

Having said that, the location is fantastic. Come out of hotel is the entrance of Myeongdong station and also Myeongdong street market. The convenience is unbeatable. Level 2 also have e-mart21. Just outside is 7-11.

I suggests Singaporean don’t stay Myeondong la. It is a carrot place where everything is so expensive. Isadong really very nice. I stayed in Courtyard Seoul. Everyday surrounded by pretty cabin crew. Haha! For those earning $20k edmw, can go stay there
